NAME'S BOOTHILL, FRIEND

TO THE ACHERON WRITERS: Via the subtext provided throughout the game (which I cover more of in my about) I portray Boothill as very much Ahab-coded when it comes to his side of the implied-relationship/rivalry he has with Acheron. Mostly in the sense that he views her as a Proverbial White Whale/Moby Dick. The reason for this stems mostly from the fact that I like to think that they've met numerous times before what we'll see in 2.2. Some of this is implied based on the way he speaks about Acheron to Black Swan, seemingly indicating that he knows more things about her then others do. Any kind of rivalry I headcanon will of course most likely be changed/disproven/invalidated by a future update. Regardless, I encourage you to give the headcanon a read before plotting. I can always disregard this facet of their relationship for something more simple, just be sure to let me know during plotting!! ^^ 

5/7/2024 addendum: Following 2.2 and the plot drops revealed regarding their relationship, this above rule and a lot of my headcanons and characterization are a bit null-and-void regarding Acheron and Boothill. I'm going to keep this rule up until I finish my revamp of his backstory, but I want it to be known that I'm a sucker for the Cowboy vs Samurai rivalry trope and am interested in plotting that kind of dynamic even if it's canon divergent.

He's also not the most respectful when it comes to people in general. He's not going to be a vile ferocious bastard during every interaction, but he can be prone to violent outbursts depending on the situation. Use common sense. If I have Boothill call your muse a bitch, it's not personal.

I, as an adult writer, do enjoy writing smut. However, I probably won’t be writing any on Dash. I occasionally indulge in the NSFW meme or two for sinday, but those are tagged as TW // NSFW and stuff. I try to keep that stuff off of Dash. If I see a dynamic that has the potential for spice, I’ll talk it out with a partner and see how they want to approach it. I generally just prefer to do my smut threads off of Dash.

Shucks. Where'd she come from? He feels a sudden breath running along the back of his ear. His eye twitches softly, teeth bite at the inside of his cheek. The way she's able to so easily sneak up on him— Gosh dang is it frustratin'. He doesn't even realize how it's possible that she's able to elicit such reactions out of his synthetic frame, but she does. He can feel her fingertips running up along his abdomen while she crept up towards the back of his ear. The trails left by her fingertips cause his metallic frame to heat up. Almost as if she's eliciting some blush from him.

Then he hears the voice in the back of his ear. He has to move to pull his hat down below the front of his face. It hides his steadily reddening synthetic flesh, but gives the memokeeper unrestricted access to his ear, which she seems to take full advantage of. She doesn't even whisper anything of major significance. Just sweet remarks. Filthy as fudge remarks, but sweet nontheless. It's enough to get this cowboy purrin' in more then just a few ways. It seems during their frequent exposure toward one another, that The Memokeeper has learned just what it is that makes the gunslinger buckle. A nasty little thing, she is. He'll find a way to get back at her.

When she finally lets him get a moment of peace away from her hypnotic-yet-soothing voice, The Cowboy removes the hat away from his face and places it over her still lingering hands. His head turns to meet her mysterious gaze, his tongue traces lightly over his fangs, which he shows to her by biting the edge of his lip softly and smirking softly afterward.

"Why Swannie~" The Cowboy coos softly, "That was awfully romantic of ya~" Romantic, he says. That elicits a tiny little chuckle from him. It's anything but that. His cybernetic fingers move to gently take her chin, not breaking away from her hold at all. "You gettin all soft on me, Darlin?" He teases softly before his thumb traces at her bottom lip before he exhales through the nostrils, slowly smirking again.

"You tryna steal me away or somethin~?"
