Find A Song about the beauty of accepting life's unexpected detours
Cade Hoppe - Lake Michigan
Indie-pop artist Cade Hoppe returns with his new single, "Lake Michigan." Accompanied by an official music video, the track is driven by warm grooves, shimmering melodies, and a sense of wide-open possibility as Hoppe reflects on expectations, ambition, and the beauty of accepting life's unexpected detours. "It's a story about driving from the East Coast to the West Coast, hoping to make it to the Pacific Ocean,” Hoppe shares. “But life never goes as planned, and sometimes you've got to make peace with only ever making it to Lake Michigan—after all, they basically look the same."

Find A Song asking if we can travel further
The Veldt - Morning, June and Yesterday
Here, The Veldt's guitars wander through a contextual vortex of sound, tracing invisible paths between morning light and fading memories. They ebb and flow like currents carrying pieces of yesterday into the present, surrounding the listener in a haze of longing and wonder. The song asks not where we have been, but whether we can travel further—beyond memory, beyond certainty, and into whatever waits on the horizon... "but the ebb and flow of life is not distant but right here deep down in your soul".

Find A Song about the disorientation of adolescence
Annabelle Tiffin - Daffodils
A melancholic, cinematic indie-pop track that captures the tender disorientation of adolescence with remarkable emotional clarity. The piano-and-strings arrangement provides an intimate backdrop for Annabelle's exploration of that hazy, overwhelming feeling of being young and uncertain about your place in the world. At its heart, 'Daffodils' is about those quietly profound moments when we need someone to help us see our own worth, acknowledging that self-love sometimes requires another person to plant the seed.

Find A Song that explores friendship
Ecce Shnak - Eddie, Legalistic Homeslice
"Like 'Larry, Sleepover Friend' from our 2019 'Joke Oso' EP, our new song is a garage-rock homage to a beloved friend of mine. Like 'Larry', 'Eddie' explores big themes in great friendships: their gnarly ambivalences, their absurd misunderstandings, their inside-jokes, and their contradictory mix of irreverence with utmost care," says David Roush. 'Eddie' reaches its lyrical denouement with what is said to be the “oldest prayer of friendship,” and also sounds like a throwaway Rivers Cuomo line: “I pray you don’t be a rat in a rat-suit! Pray you don’t be a rat in a rat-costume!”

James Zero · PAST IS PERFECT · Song · 2026
Find A Song that is a tribute to a late friend
James Zero - Past Is Perfect
What appears to be a love song reveals itself as a poignant tribute to a friend James lost years ago, with the title reflecting the philosophy that our past—however painful—shapes who we become. The track marks a significant milestone as the first song where Zero truly showcases his guitar prowess, featuring melodic riffs and an impressive solo that add new dimensions to his sonic palette. As Zero himself notes, "The past is always perfect, it shows us who we should be. It's how I remember you—it's how you remember me."

Find A Song about transition
Mathis Akengin - Passage des Fleurs
His debut album, ‘Passage des Fleurs’, is a letter to his Turkish grandfather. A love story without instructions, where words sometimes fall short but the connection remains. The title comes from the “Çiçek Pasajı”, a passageway in Istanbul where he spent part of his youth, a place of transition where the fragile meets the powerful, the fly meets the elephant.

Find A Song about the gap between how someone presents and what's actually going on
French Nancy - The Wait and Fall
It's a song about the gap between how someone presents and what's actually going on - and about a more fundamental tension: trying to work out what you're meant to be doing while suspecting you don't have much control over any of it. The music pushes forward, the narrator tries to keep up, the body gives out. Nothing resolves.

Find A Song that explores the tension between staying and leaving
Aurel - Là-bas
"Là-Bas" is about freedom—about those who feel trapped in a relationship, in a job, in a life they no longer truly recognize as their own. It captures a fragile moment when a crucial question emerges: should we stay to preserve what we have, or leave in order to remain alive inside?
Driven by direct and luminous songwriting, the track transforms this intimate tension into an open, almost comforting song. The arrangements move forward with softness and clarity, always leaving space for Aurel's voice—close, sincere, without artifice.
"Over the past few years, I've seen many people close to me go through these kinds of questions," Aurel explains. "Even though the subject is deep, I wanted the melodies and arrangements to feel sunny—like an outstretched hand, a source of hope in difficult moments. To give momentum to those who need it."
The accompanying music video extends the song's central theme of perpetual movement and resilience. Directed by [Director], the visual captures Aurel running throughout, conveying both pursuit and escape—movement as both resistance and survival.
"In the video, I'm running the whole time. Maybe trying to catch up with someone? Or maybe running away myself?" Aurel reflects. "During the shooting of the final long take, I fell into the small ditch alongside the road. I had to climb back up through nettles and brambles before immediately starting to run again. It wasn't planned, but in the end it perfectly tells what 'Là-Bas' is about: falling, getting back up, and carrying on anyway."

Jacob Barrett · Here I Go Again · Song · 2026
Find A Song about living with chronic illness
Jacob Barrett - Here I Go Again
Singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Jacob Barrett released his new single “Here I Go Again” on June 16, 2026 — a boldly honest song about living with chronic illness and the physical and emotional scars it leaves behind. The track is the second single from his forthcoming EP, following last June’s “Through the Looking Glass.” For all its weight, “Here I Go Again” is built to move: an almost full orchestra of cello, violin, piano, trombone, trumpet, clarinet, and synth woven into driving, contemporary pop with punchy drums. As Barrett describes the goal, it’s “a hooky song that you feel really good listening to.” Much of what sets “Here I Go Again” apart is in the details. The second verse leans on tightly edited vocals inspired by the precision of Billie Eilish’s “Bad Guy” and Noga Erez’s “You So Done.” The song also moves through an unusual structure, shifting key with each verse and chorus and dropping to the relative minor for an emotional climax that rewards repeat listens.

Find A Song about the climate crisis
Energy Whores - Planet B
"Planet B" is a song born out of frustration, anxiety, and disbelief at humanity's ongoing failure to confront climate change. Everywhere we look, people talk about escaping to Mars, building bunkers, or finding technological solutions to problems we've created ourselves. Meanwhile, the only truly habitable planet we know of is the one we're actively damaging.
Musically, I wanted to create something beautiful, cinematic, and immersive while delivering a message that feels increasingly urgent. The track blends electronic music, art rock, and atmospheric sound design into what I call avant electro—a style that combines danceable rhythms with thought-provoking themes.

Find A Song about the relief after an amicable breakup
Peadar Connolly - The Feeling is Over
A lush pop-ballad about the waves of relief that follow an amicable breakup, it's built around an unusual instrumental palette of folk, orchestral, digital and world instruments. Written and produced with his ex Mitchell Keely, the song became an unexpected symbol of the friendship that outlasted the relationship.

Find A Song feeling like the final scene of a movie
Beljune - White Heat
A song suspended between memory and acceptance, reflecting on mortality, loss and release through imagery of fire, rain and rebirth.
“I wanted it to feel like the final scene of a film where everything suddenly makes sense at once. Dark, emotional, but also strangely peaceful. We wrote it really quickly and kept most of the original demo vocals because they captured something we couldn’t recreate.”

Find A Song about family and connection
TELN - Legacy
It’s my actual story. I wrote it to honor my father, who passed away far too early, and to tell my mother through music what I could never say directly—a massive "thank you." It also serves as a memento for my own son about what truly matters: family and connection.

ENGLBRT · SONG(E)S · Song · 2026
Find A Song about navigating a breakup
ENGLBRT - Minefield
With SONG(E)S, ENGLBRT return with a new EP that moves between atmospheric soundscapes and intimate songwriting. Drawing from jazz, folk, indie-pop and electronic music, the Luxembourg-based duo create songs that feel both detailed and open, balancing cinematic arrangements with close-up reflections on everyday life. The EP unfolds as a sonic journey through the macro- and microscopic layers of life, with personal moments, memories, relationships and wider observations tangled together. The title SONG(E)S plays with both the English word “songs” and the French songes (“dreams”). On one side, the EP works like a sonic diary, capturing traces of everyday life and lived experience. On the other hand, the title points toward something more abstract and imaginary: the invisible ties linking people, places, and memories within a larger whole. Across the EP, ENGLBRT explore themes of disconnection, belonging, and the search for shared meaning in an increasingly individualistic environment. Most of the EP was written during an initial residency in a small country house in the Belgian Ardennes, where the first ideas for the songs began to take shape. The material was later developed during residencies in Wiltz and at Abbey Neimënster in Luxembourg before being recorded with producer Charles Stoltz. The EP opens with Harbour, a track that begins slowly and expansively, carried by the falsetto vocals of singer Georges Goerens before unfolding into a groovier indie-pop anthem driven by the energetic drumming of multi-instrumentalist Niels Engel. The song also features Luxembourg trumpeter Ben Bley, whose contribution adds another dreamy layer to the track. The opening track is followed by the two singles: Godspeed, which brings a darker, new wave-inspired energy driven by propulsive drums and tension, and Harvest, which takes a more restrained and introspective direction, unfolding through hypnotic rhythms and intimate vocals. The second half of the EP moves into stranger and more groove-heavy territory with This Room, while Stakes approaches ideas of home and familiarity through a warm yet uneasy pop song. Closing track Minefield explores the instability of love and separation, framing a breakup as emotional terrain that is difficult to navigate. With SONG(E)S, ENGLBRT continue developing the sound first introduced on their 2023 debut EP Odes to Everything, released on the Berlin-based label Listenrecords — combining organic instrumentation, electronics, and carefully layered production into songs that feel both personal and exploratory.

Find A Song about release and renewal
This Is Shit (ft. Johnny Longlegs) - Moloko Plus
On the track THIS IS SHIT lets its rock-techno universe spill into a more pop-electro and luminous aesthetic. Melodic guitars, an unstoppable structure and a unifying energy drive a euphoric build-up toward a sense of release and renewal. A key third single that confirms the upcoming album will stand as a landmark of the rock / electro shift within the new French Touch.
