Yeah, churches feel like that sometimes. I used to go to daycare at a pretty chill one, but my job now is near one that uses a boat hull from a hugely fatal boatwreck in the Great Lakes as a pulpit or whatever, so...

I say it sounds an awful lot like religious trauma...

I don't remember being in a church at all though....

Lots of trauma can cause memory loss- maybe that's why..? I've gone into churches and never felt like I was about to cry, so I don't figure it's a built-in feature.

They smell the same.... misery and blood and just... pain and guilt
