HE HAS EARNED THAT RIGHT

‘           Yeah ,   I think we call it  Prime Earth ,           ’            he replies ,  a slight nod as he offers a half smile in reply .  Despite how accustomed he got to the   alternate Earths ,  and the alternate versions of people  ON  different earths  . . .  well , it never really got any  e a s i e r  .  It wasn’t even necessarily   b a d  ,   it was just   ODD .

‘           Oh my god ,            ’            Dick sighs as he drops his face into his hand ,  shaking his head in   e x a s p e r a t i o n  .   How this is a situation he found himself in ,  he didn’t know .  Oh wait ,  yes he   did .  It was because Bruce insisted on adopting or at least take in the  ENTIRETY  of Gotham at this point .  Dick takes in a deep breath as he digs his elbow into the arm of the couch ,  pressing his fingers   f i r m l y   against his temples as he attempts to not let Mallory get to him in the way she wanted to .  He made it  F A R  to easy for her to ,  and he could already hear Alfie reprimanding him for not being more   m a t u r e .   So instead of snapping at her he lifts his head from his hand to look over at her ,  his face   s l a c k   with exasperation .               ‘           I    GUESS  that’s possible ,            ’               he reconciles ,  dryly .

‘           Are you okay ?            ’            he asks ,  brows   f u r r o w i n g   slightly as he notices the shift of expression on the other’s face .  Dick turns to look at her more   directly ,   attempting to gather a more thorough picture of what was going on .

‘           Huh ,            ’            he replies ,  his brows   f u r r o w e d   slightly as he tilts his head to the side .  It took a lot to surprise a who grew up in   Gotham .   When insanity and   bad puns   were really the  cornerstone  of your city ,  it took something   e x c e p t i o n a l l y   bizarre to surprise him .  However ,  that didn’t mean he couldn’t still be caught   off guard ,  and this situation had definitely set up for that possibility .               ‘           Well  . . .  that’s a  new  one .           ’
