I've really, have been wanting to share my testimony for awhile now and I didn't really know how or what to say, so I prayed about and asked God to guide me....so here it goes! I hope I can help any young woman no matter your age that if you are struggling with something and it you don't have to have a child to struggle or go through something.. it could be cheating on your spouse, drug addiction, alcoholism, pornography, stealing, whatever your struggle may be just turn to God and allow Him to lead you!!!
God was preparing me for some things yall! I swear I had no idea what was about to unfold before me!
This is was my struggle, my choice, my consequences, my actions, my heartbreak, my healing and everything in between!!!!
I was 22 being in the world, making good grades, going to church, being involved with school functions, having sex, no big deal, right! WRONG ( i can laugh at this now) just being "your typical college student"....What does that even mean!?However, since I was the quiet one, the shy and bashful one, no one ever expected Ā sweet lil Jessica to do anything wrong! I was 23, a college student and pregnant, lost, fearful, no confidence whatsoever, I was 24, a single mother to a newborn baby girl, Ā tons of communication failures, no job, just trying to hold strong, but breaking into peaces, I was 25, with a part time job, my daughter in daycare, smiling at the little and big moments, and figuring out my life still, being an aunty. I was 26 becoming a better me, going through therapy ( its nothing with it!!) Sometimes you have to talk with someone other than your family and friends, seeing my baby grow up and loving myself so much more than I ever have, Ā but many stops and Ā new starts in my life! I am now 27, Ā with a job, a three year old who is about to be 4 in September,she is going to Head start, Lauren spoke with her daddy and his family for the first time this year ( she was sooooo happy) I was happy for her! She is crazy about him lol and I am going to be graduating from Jackson State University 2017! As this year goes on I hope to strengthen bonds and make new relationships!!!! God has been so good to me yall! I thank and appreciate my parents and entire family for being so supportive of me in my moments of despair literally. I was a broken MESS, but in my brokenness and road to healing God was teaching me and showing me his power of healing, forgiveness, and so much more!!! When you allow God to enter into your heart, mind, body, and spirit let me tell you its a life changing experience! I really do hope I can help someone with sharing my story in a nutshell. How did you react or did you miss your blessing?I pray that if you have a child or children please speak to them tell them how much you love them. Go and see them! If your scared just pray about it!!!! Trust and believe! I have stepped out of my broken self into my happy self. Depression can get you down and make you feel all kinds of ways, but GOD!!!
A young girl lost her dad right in front of her eyes and man in LA lost his life he too was a father, husband, son, and brother! Five officers lost their lives they too were fathers, husbands, sons, and brothers!!! My heart breaks for these families Ā that have lost someone they love and no one deserves to be treated unfairly period. I would really hate for something to happen to my daughter's daddy and then me having to explain to my 3 year old why daddy isn't here anymore! That is so scary to me!
