It was night in Imladris, and Lucy could not believe how Aslan/Jesus Christ had blessed her. Apart from the Bible, she was reading her favourite book, "Pride and Prejudice", and she smiled to herself, as she read how Lizzie thought Mr. Darcy was snobbish, and to upper class for her, how she thought him too proud and prejudiced, to be anything else, only to find out later on that was not the case and he was very caring and sweet, but strict and strong willed, like her, bending when he had to, but never more than that. ' O, how I was like Lizzie.' Lucy thought to herself, and she chuckled. ' I remember that was exactly what I though of Elrohir when I first came here. Thought him to be too cold, too distant, not really caring what happened to me, always drawn into himself.' Looking at her ring, she giggled, ' I could not have been more wrong, he is so sweet and caring, and very protective, but not suffocatingly so, well maybe sometimes, but not most of the time, and he can be strict, but not overly so, just like Mr. Darcy, except Elrohir is very outgoing and does not battle to talk to people, unlike Mr. Darcy, however he is more introverted than his twin.' Smiling again, as she thought of her husband, and what he was like, the fact that he was similar to Mr. Darcy did help, as she loved the book.
' Oh, thank You, Aslan/Jesus Christ, for allowing me to come here, and for allowing me to show Your light to others, especially when everything seemed to be overcome by darkness. Thank You, Jesus Christ/Aslan, for not allowing my ideas and views of him, to hinder what was good for me, and what You had planned for me from the start. Oh, Jesus Christ, how foolish, and misconceived my ideas and thoughts were.'
' Forgive me, Jesus Christ for trying to take matters into my own hands instead of trusting You, and letting You take control, trying to make my own plans, only to nearly die in the end.'
' How do You put up with me, Jesus Christ? I am sure I must be quite exhausting. Why do You put up with me? '
' I can never get exhausted, but I do get weary with your actions, Lucy, My daughter, but I am never exhausted with you, in fact I delight in your heart, the way that you seek Me out, deliberately, each and every day, every hour and second. I put up with your actions because you are My child, and because I love you, and because I see what you can become, and what I have destined you to do, and I am slow to anger, and compassionate, long suffering, and My mercies are new every day, I Am these, because I am exactly, perfectly, these qualities, and My mercies are new, because I am mercy, I am perfect mercy.'
' Wow, I never thought of it that way. So, You are saying You love me, because I am Yours, and You created me.'
'Exactly, My child, although I loved you, even before I brought you forth into this world, and destined you for your purpose.'
' Wow, I never realised that, and never thought of it like that, although I still cannot fully comprehend this. Mayhaps it will remain that way until I get to heaven.'
' Indeed, My child, there are many things that you cannot comprehend, because you are not Me, and your mind is finite, but when you get to heaven, you will have eternity to find the answers to the questions that you have now, and for the things your mind battles to grasp.'
' Thank You, for this Jesus Christ, I think I really needed this.'
' Indeed, you did, and I enjoyed it. I love you, and you have already asked Me to forgive you, for trying to disobey Me, and take matters into your own hands, when you went to try and throw the ring in the fire. '
' Know this, Lucy Elrondion, never once have I have been dissapointed in you, in your actions yes, but never you, and I am extremely proud of you, and always have been. Thank you, for trusting Me, and choosing to follow Me, even though it was hard to do so at times.'
' Jesus Christ, thank You, I needed to hear that, and it is a big pleasure to trust and follow You, it is hard, yes, but it is definitely worth it. I love You, with all my heart.'
' Thank you, My child, I love you with all of My heart too, and remember that when it is easy, and when it is hard, I am the One Who will give you strength, and the words to say, I will never, ever, abandon you.'
With that all was still, and Lucy had tears streaming down her face, at the encounter that she had had with Jesus Christ/Aslan.
Lucy returned to reading 'Pride and Prejudice.'
It was as she was reading, that she felt a familiar weight next to her, and scent of wood, pine, and a very masculine smell, and she smiled as she thought about how familiar this smell had come to her.
" A penny for your thought?" Elrohir said, struggling a bit, as he remembered the strange phrase Lucy had taught him, a few months ago, when she had been trying to get him to talk to her, about his mother. It had worked though, he had opened up about his mother to her that day.
' Maybe, if it worked on me, then it will work on her too.' Elrohir mused to himself.
" Just thinking about the time, I first met you, and how I landed up here, after falling down that hole in the road, while I was walking back from school, although I have a suspicion that that hole did not even exist, but that Aslan/Jesus Christ put it there, so I would end up here."
" But, more importantly, I was thinking about how I first thought you were cold and uncaring, and very hostile, and extremely proud, but how Jesus Christ intervened."
" Indeed He did, and I am thankful for that, but meleth, you wound me. How could you possibly think such things about me?" Elrohir asked in mock hurt.
" Well, you did not exactly smile, and you are very tall, 8 foot 5 inches to be precise, you are taller than any other elf, and besides you have a tendency to be very serious, and to smile too few times, so unfortunately that did not help your case." Lucy defended herself.
" Well, I was only cautious, and I was not cold, I was merely trying to figure out my heart, which you nearly broke, when you went with the fellowship without letting me know, and when I learnt from Legolas, that you had fallen in love with Boromir, and how you had journeyed with Frodo and Sam into Mount Doom to destroy the ring."
" Well, I was not aware that you had fallen in love with me, because I was not in love with you yet, I considered you a good friend yes, but not my meleth, at that time." Lucy responded not unkindly.
Elrohir dramatically sighed, and said- " Alas, I was doomed, and to think here I was wasting away with grief, while you were joyful, and fawning over the Captain of Gondor."
" I was not fawning, I was merely admiring him."
" Meleth, you should have been admiring me, not him." Elrohir said in an exaggerated, playful tone, giving her an adorable look.
Lucy laughed. " It was only for a little while." she wheedled.
" But that little while, could still, have been spent admiring me, and my good looks, and lovely personality." Elrohir said, with a twinkle in his eyes, and gave her puppy dog eyes, with a pretend pout on his face, as he sidled closer to her.
" Ugh, you are insufferable, meleth? Why will you not let it go, that I admired him for a little while. Is it that bad?" Lucy said in a playful tone.
" Because I loved you, all that time ago, and I still do, and it hurts to know that you did return my affections." He said in playful, mock hurt tone.
" Elrohir, meleth nin, you know, that I love you, but you must admit Boromir was quite handsome, and he was strong." Lucy said rolling her eyes in mock indignation, because in truth, he did not remind her of Boromir often, and her love for him, unless he was feeling playful.
" Yes, I know that you love me, but it is the fact that you loved him, before me, that breaks my heart, and makes me want to cry, and why must admit that, it will add to my grief." Elrohir gave her a playful, wounded look.
" Because it was the truth, and besides why are you being so dramatic about it, you married me, did you not?"
" Yes, I did marry you, but you need to realise that extent of the hurt I suffer." Elrohir said unseriously, and he inched even closer to Lucy, so thathis face was very close to hers.
" Elrohir, you still suffer?" and she laughed.
" Yes, you do not think me serious?" he asked with a pout.
All Lucy could do was nod, because she was still laughing although her eyes were returning to her book that she was reading.
" I see so, however, I think you need to suffer consequences for what you have done to me." Elrohir said a playful glint in his eyes.
Lucy was about ask what it was that he was thinking of, when she felt his lips on hers, and taking her book from her hand, soon afterwards, and the rest of the night was spent with him "teaching her a lesson", albeit a very ineffective one, as she wanted it again and again, and until they were too tired to do it again, and Lucy lay in his arms.
