Everyone calls Eva Stratt the scapegoat but they forget the real essence of the parallel.
Two goats are sacrificed on the day of atonement. One is dedicated to the Lord and is sacrificed on the altar, killed to save the people. The other, the scapegoat, takes all the sins of the people on its head and is banished into the wilderness. The first dies to save the world; the second lives with the blame.
