Oh, now he was getting downright mean. This was definitely what one would consider to be taking things a bit too far, and yet Ran Fan was on a roll and hardly felt like stopping now. A mischievous grin even appeared faintly on his face and he shrugged, cocking his head to the side.

“Oh? You think I’m secretly a talented cobbler?” There’s a raised brow in response, blowing little smoke rings into the air. “It couldn’t be the other thing. That would be a waste of good gold and good shoes can you imagine? They’d be too heavy to wear.”

     “ Don’t try and make it seem like you wouldn’t find a way of getting it to work. It’d be tacky and expensive - right up your alley, if I remember correctly. “
