 ADRIAN  COLON:        a   baseball   player   born    in            spanish harlem , new york city ,               adrian         had       dreams   of   becoming    a   soccer    player.                    during   his         SOPHOMORE YEAR         of    high-school ,               several   months   after   his    season    of    soccer   ended,               he   was   approached   by    the   baseball    coach    and    considered   adrian   to      TRY OUT          for    baseball.                 adrian   assumed    it   was    due   to    his            FAST SPEED       and    tough endurance.                      not   knowing   ANYTHING    about    the    sport  ,               he   was   given    extra   lessons    during    the    off    season    and    easily      CAUGHT THE    HANG      of the sport.                    the    same    year ,                  adrian   made    varsity   and    began   breaking   home-run    records   and   received      AWARDS    throughout    high-school.               ADRIAN REALIZED SOCCER WASN’T HIS FUTURE  ,         BUT BASEBALL WAS.            once    his   final year    of   high-school    ended ,               adrian    accepted    a   scholarship   to      (   PLAY   )         baseball at vanderbilt ,          BREAKING MORE RECORDS         during    his    time    as   a    student    athlete.                 adrian ,      fresh    out   of    college  ,                was    drafted   to    the    MAJOR LEAGUES            as    a   short   stop.
