One swig of beer later, she was pressing her lips to his as the rest of Hound Wolf Squad were hooting and whistling in the background. Claire may have made that little peck a little longer than it should have been, lingering for an extra second before pulling back with a little lick of her lips. Like a cat that got into the cream.
She is going to get him in so much trouble. She's staring at him. Beckoning him forward and they've all been drinking. They have. With the exception of Chris, but he bowed out of this little endeavor. Thankfully. Why? Because when she beckons him over Thor has no idea what is on her mind. sure she's looking at him with lustful eyes but they are there with the rest of the team? What could go wrong?
He can't say he hasn't eyed her from time to time. Her beauty and intellect is something he's found so extremely attractive for a long time. He'd be stupid to not notice her, but she is the captain's sister. She's off limits. She has to be because he can't have Chris coming after him. Hell no and he respects him too much.
The moment she is in his space, Claire kisses him full force. His mind is fuzzy and he accepts it without a moments thought until finally . . . he does. Everyone is excited and enamored with the pair with all their cheering. They must be just as drunk as the rest of them. Who could see this as a good idea. When she lets him go they are till incredibly close. His breath on her face and her on his. His eyes search hers for what this could mean. "He'll kill us. . . " he nearly whispers.
I get respiratory infections quite a bit. I have had strep throat a stupid amount of times as an adult. I got bronchitis and maybe walking pneumonia that knocked me on my ass for a while in 2017. My seasonal allergies are brutal. So when I started coughing on and off at night a few weeks ago, I figured it was allergy related.
Except it wouldn't stop. It felt worse. Mostly at night. I felt okay otherwise, just tired. Figured it was because of the cough and because there's been a whole Thing with my dad (he was admitted to the hospital a few weeks ago and got transferred to a rehab facility last week). But that cough and the tiredness finally got on my nerves enough to prompt me to go to urgent care this morning.
My streak ended, and not ONLY do I have COVID, somehow my ass ALSO got the flu.
Mild so far (hoping it stays that way), but still. I work from home, but I am going to take today off. This sucks.
