DSMP fic + Jackbox = Fic Box! Introducing a new prompt writing event inspired by Quiplash and other minigames, we are excited to open our sign ups!

The event will run for the entirety of October, and you earn points through writing other people's prompts and completing challenges. For now, the event will only be centered around the Dream SMP, but we hope to open up more in a future event.

DSMP fic + Jackbox = Fic Box! Introducing a new prompt writing event inspired by Quiplash and other minigames, we are excited to open our Interest Check! The event will run for the entirety of October, and you earn points through writing other people's prompts and completing challenges. For now, the event will only be centered around the Dream SMP, but we hope to open up more in a future event. We're hoping it will be a fun time for everyone involved in writing fics and getting points! This survey will be open until September 7th, noon (12pm) EST, and sign-ups open on September 10th.

Why during October?  - This is a trial event - we’ve never run this before, and so we’d rather run the event and get some fics written and some feedback sooner rather than later - there will definitely be more events in the future, placed away from busier months. For now though, this event will last through October.

Where will the event happen?  - Posting will be on Ao3 (we will have a collection), and communication will mainly be through our Discord. The link to this server will be on the Sign-up form releasing September 10th.

How is this event Jackbox inspired?  - Loosely inspired by a game like Quiplash, it shows in how some of the points are awarded both on using other peoples’ prompts, fulfilling challenges, as well as gaining points from others using your prompts. So there will be no time limit aside from the event duration, which is a month. Will other forms of fanwork be allowed?  - For now, it’s a fic only event.
