FIC ALMIGHTY

Anyway, I really enjoyed the story, and I thought the writing only got better and better as it went on. The flow of part 2 seemed effortless, and I was just completely entranced, very impressed. Well done, well done @stylinsoncity

Never stop writing, never stop creating 

I love Louis’ character arc in the first fic. He’s introduced to us as a brash, cocky, anti-romantic who expects great things in all aspects of his life. He’s interesting, but not someone most people would seek out as a best friend. He’s almost one dimensional.

It’s poetic that it takes Harry, outwardly almost a completely opposite person, to draw out the depth of Louis’ character. Harry, with his facial piercings, tats, and all around punk awesomeness, really creates a safe space for Louis. He doesn’t push Louis to be anyone but himself, and he really allows Louis to blossom.

By the end of the first fic, Louis’ a real person. He has layers and a soul, and it’s all because Harry supported him. Harry didn’t *make* it happen, he just offered an environment where Louis could be Louis. Beautiful!

Part II is EVERYTHING. I love that we get to see Harry’s perspective on almost all the events of part I, and get to learn more about their relationship. I’m also obsessed with how much we get to learn about Harry! He’s such a gorgeous person (in every definition). 

Their time apart was really interesting to me. It was painful and of course I was always anxious for them to have time together, but I think my favorite scene in both fics is when Harry thinks Louis isn’t going to be able to spend time with him, and then Louis appears in the middle of the night. The love, emotion, and Harry’s sensitivity in that scene is so powerful. I think that moment really changed their lives. 

These fics are so wonderful. They have everything! Great chemistry, funny moments, drama, character growth, and love... so much love! 

to be completely honest, i wasn’t sure what i was expecting coming into this fic. i’m a person that’s very picky when it comes to what i read and the whole punk harry made me take a couple steps back at first. but i’m also someone who loves to give things a try! what could it hurt, right?

what i love about this story is that it’s not forced. the flow is so nice and smooth and it really captures the eye in a pleasant manner. the characterization throughout the story alone is A+ worthy and the transitions are just marvelous. i love the fact that louis had to go through a life threatening obstacle in order to change the way he viewed things. i would have loved to see how things played out if louis pre-stabbing had met harry; they probably wouldn’t have even talked! but that’s what makes it pretty interesting, no? the fact that he had to go through something traumatic to change in order to open his eyes to new possibilities that turned out to be the greatest thing that happened in his life. (am i making sense? probably not.)

now, now, now, lets talk about harry. as i said before, punk harry kind of drew me back a bit, but damn do i love the way he was portrayed in this story. i was expecting something different and what i got was a beautiful soul who just liked to express himself differently. and that really gives the meaning “there’s more to me that meets the eye.” because i surely wasn’t expecting harry to be the soft, beautifully soft spoken, poet emo that he was in this story.

and can i just add, randomly, that the whole concert scene was just.. ugh, mesmerizing?

okay so. last but not least (because honestly i can go on forever.) i love the obstacle that they went through with the whole london/new york deal. normally most couples in love would go straight for the whole “yeah lets just do this!” without really thinking it through, but the fact that they actually went through the stages of being apart and figured out that being together was what they wanted to do and what was best for it was really a great addition to a wonderfully written story.

favorite aspect of the story: the way they fell in love. it was so pure, not rushed, but not painstakingly slow. it was just.. what was meant to be. and in the end it worked out perfectly for the both of them.

rating: 8.5/10. amazing work.

It’s interesting to see how when Louis wakes up Harry is on top of everything, getting the doctor, getting him pizza, making sure he calls his mom, pretty much since the moment he found Louis he has been there for him not really knowing what to expect and not wanting to leave.  I like how honest Harry is like when he tells Louis how he found him and he thought he was the most beautiful man he’d ever seen and how he was writing a poem about him and the day’s events.  

Hands down my favorite quote from this fic is “I’d like to crawl into his dimple and spend the rest of my life there”.  lol

With the second part, it is very emotional for me in that it reminds me a lot of the real Harry and Louis and the long distance they have to deal with at times.  I can imagine them going through the same pain of having to be apart doing what they need to do and missing each other so much.  Pretty much “If I Could Fly” plays in my head while I read this fic.  Like I mentioned, I loved seeing  Harry’s point of view on things, and seeing that yea they had to go through long distance and they weren’t happy about it and that’s ok.  They still made it work and if anything made their love grow stronger.

And the fact that it all comes in full circle with Harry ending up in the hospital was funny and lovely.

I love this fic so much and idk what else to say at the moment but if I think of anything else I will add it.
