Having spoken to some of you already in the overlored-rp about the idea of a potential guild collab doubling as a summer-event campaign, I was pleasantly surprised with the overall recepion and show of interest. In case this comes as news to any of you, let me recap. Over the last few weeks I’ve been in talks with another roleplay group going by @fractured-heroes-guild, FHRPG for short with an ambitious premise in mind; but for the rest of you not yet in the know, what say you to the idea of a team versus?

Anyhow, with no specific starting deadline set in stone, I’d like to share the premise as follows: the characters- that would be us, are periodically devoured by Galactus the world eater into an alternate reality on a weekly basis. Here things set themselves apart: all characters, all of them, are stripped of powers, weapons and god-like divinities. Whats more, we’ll be pit in a teams primarily decided on character alignment good/evil, and forced into a ‘hunger games-style’ survival battle royale. Where we’d stand as heroes versus villains (decided by your alignment) versus dungeon bosses/ dungeon masters.

 For example; take the idea of someone like @ulbert-alain-odle, who’s immediate alignment would be a strong lawful evil. Being transported, he’d be faced with the additional challenge as a villain of halting the progress of the hero faction, whoever that may be. Character dynamics are a point of key interest, as former denizens of Nazarick we’re more than welcome to assist each other, even if our partners’s are of a different alignment, what’s more we can be just as easily responsive to the idea of defecting to the sides of dungeon masters. 

Lastly, the death system. supposing your character were to somehow perish against one of the bosses or villains or independent roleplayers also partaking, there exists a prompt-based quest alternative for a respawn into the campaign. Failure to comply by the deadline otherwise results in a game-over where you wake up back in Nazarick, as if waking from a dream.

Ara ara~ It seems quite a lot of you have been having fun with my monsters lately~ As a reward for your vivacious survival efforts, I thought I would impart upon you all some information.

You see, we tend to take from the world as we need, or want, and these actions over the years have brought up a sort of festival of sorts. It really is a wondrous site, all those sacrifices clustered together for us. If you want to take a load off, then feel free to head to Nabradia’s Ritual Area for some well deserved R&R, get to know the natives, perhaps even partake in the festival itself if you’re feeling up to it!

Where was I? Oh yes, the ritual sacrifice. Some of you goody-goodies might want to stop it or something. While usually I don’t mind gifts, the blood of children doesn’t interest me too much. With the recently declining population those kids should be given the chance to grow up, live their lives, all that jazz.

You… died?

Well, that probably could’ve gone better for you, aye? Perhaps using your face as a shield wasn’t a good idea. Think it through more next time. However, luckily for you, there is a next time…. Maybe.

Death works differently here. Most of you will find yourself in Limbo. It’s rather boring there, but work hard enough and you’ll be granted the ability to leave and join the living once again. Go out and have a drink with your comrades and reminisce about how you died, all that hunky dory stuff.

Some of you so called goody two-shoes might find yourself thrown into the Underworld. I’m sorry to have to tell you that, in fact, mugging someone’s grandma after you help her cross the street is not a neutral action. You may leave the Underworld, much like Limbo, but your noggin might not have all its screws in place after. But hey, you can go have a chuckle with the guy who didn’t now.

As for some of you lone wolf dark horses out there… you sure you’re a villain? I mean don’t get me wrong you can be brutal, but… Anyways, you might find yourself in Paradise. You’ve probably been sent here if you’re trying to be evil but didn’t quite make the cut. Work your way out of there and go make some cookies with the goody goodies across the street. I’m sure they’ll trust you, well, eventually.

Please take note of the following information pertaining to the death of a character in Fractured Heroes.

If you choose limbo - you’ll be forced to fight or complete certain tasks in order to be reborn into the world as you were.

If you choose underworld - you’ll do the same as limbo to leave; however, you only choose this route if you want to change your alignment from hero to villain.

If you choose paradise - you’ll do the same as limbo to leave; however, you only choose this route if you want to change your alignment from villain to hero.
