Balloon (Nightmare Balloon Boy)

Currently on the run, learning mechanics as he fixes his.. “Friend”, and trying to carry the weight of his families reprogramming on his shoulders

Plushtrap (Springtrap)

The scrapped attraction for Afton’s plans. Also on the run, aiding Balloon in return for his freedom as he is repaired throughout their journey

Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria. 1987

William Afton took it upon himself to host his youngest son’s birthday in his own establishment. He didn’t have a lot of friends to invite but the kid still had fun. He even got a photo and a free balloon with one of the toy animatronics! He was thankfully allowed his stuffed animal Fredbear to be in the picture. They looked a lot alike.

Unfortunately, tragedy struck. The Mangle had malfunctioned and taken away the life of the birthday boy after tearing his frontal lobe out. Due to the tragic bite, many customers had left and never looked back, bringing sales to an all time low. Afton wasn't doing good, financially or mentally.

He panicked, took the bloodied fredbear plush and shoved it into Balloon Boy’s chest cavity in hopes that his son would possess the suit and come back. Afton closed down the pizzeria and had a multiple story house built deep in the woods. He scooped the rest of the toy animatronics and erased the memories of the withered animatronics using them and spare parts now to create the Nightmare Systems.

His new location would continue his serial killer legacy and lure children into a haunted house to be taken and murdered by his main attraction; Springtrap. Unfinished and scrapped. Michael Afton ran away.

Due to old age and an unknown illness he never bothered to get treated for, he couldn't see these plans through. And with no one to take care of him- he took his own life inside of the puppet’s suit.
