The rain finally stopped enough to be able to cook a little food. I spent a large portion of the day in the tent while it rained, as it was chilly and wet and I dont like being that combination. Anyway I made another helping of avocado pasta but was getting low on my food supplies. Just a few miles down the road was the first store I jad seen in almost a week with fresh produce! I got so happy to restock my rice and noodles, veggies and snacks at the ocean shore @iga_grocers. I went back to the ocean city state park which was now nearly empty. Almost everyone had packed up to leave to get back to the daily grind. After getting back it started raining again and I ended the day yet again in the tent but warm and full. My ride yesterday was my 2nd loop while in Denver, check it out! I finished the ride with a burger at @illegalburgerco then went back to @sarahnova88 place and hung out with her amazing 13 year old dog, Denali. Also as of today I've lost 13 lbs in 2 weeks. I gained over 40lbs since my accident and though I am still far from being close to my old size, I feel it. I got the chance to have a conversation with an old friend from the road, Erik Barstow, which I met when I travelled to his property in July 2018. The stay stuck out more for me then Erik because the property he now owns and operates the Rattle River Lodge and Hostel is at its busiest time in July and August, the time I was there. Erik was fully booked but gave me a place to stay in a house tent out back in the woods because of my mission and our veteran brotherhood. It was a nice separate place away from the rest, it was amazing. The things that stuck out the most for me was the way through hikers packed. I left the hostel with at least 20 pounds less weight, Erik and others helped with the process. Now back, today the property is different, the tent house is gone, and a larger parking lot took its spot.
