There is much to admire and behold at the new expansion to SFMOMA, but this site-specific commissioned mural from Claudy is among our favorite moments. It is discreetly tucked behind a circulation space and just makes you want to leave everything behind and go raise sheep for a living.

You cannot go wrong with any of the rice bowls in the short filipino-flavored menu (unless you object to whole anchovies staring at you while you eat them). This is the Pork Longganisa with garlic fried rice, and we added the fried egg because egg.

Inspiring panel at the AWA+D event at the MAK center: Does Gender Matter?

Proof Bakery is the best bakery east of the 101. Period. You have to get up pretty early to beat the crowds but you will be deliciously rewarded for your bleary eyed efforts. This apricot galette is just the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

Still cannot believe this gallery just opened in our backyard. On top of a fantastic collection, there is a restaurant coming this summer and the well curated bookstore is the best in the city. The current exhibit is Revolution in the Making: Abstract Sculpture by Women, 1947 – 2016; do not miss Ruth Asawa’s pieces!

Artist Bunnie Reiss has created a beautiful new mural along the outside wall of our new studio space. It’s the first thing we see every morning as we drive into our parking lot - an imaginative and bright greeting to our workdays!

Loving the lunch options in our new neighborhood, but not sure our waistlines feel the same.
