The Ace Attorney games I’ve played are 1-4 and dgs1+2. I’ll probably get to the rest eventually

Just saying that I absolutely love angst so feel free to hmu with angsty stuff whenever <3

S/o sighed as they entered the apartment that they shared with Kazuma. Turning around and putting their key in the lock, they took a moment and rested their forehead against the door. They were so tired. Work was exhausting and it seemed like the work was never ending. Getting scolded by their boss certainly didn’t help their mood either.

Typically, they got home at least a few hours before Kazuma, so perhaps they could get some rest and at least try and pretend they had had a somewhat good day before he arrived. As they made their way down the seemingly empty corridor, they were suddenly pulled back by a pair of strong arms wrapping around their waist, pulling them close into a very familiar chest.

“Hello darling,” Kazuma smiled, resting his chin on S/o’s shoulder.

Of course, this was the one day he got home before them. Why wouldn’t it be?

“Hello, my love,” they responded, “you’re home early.”

“Mmm. I finished up the paperwork from yesterday’s trial early and decided I wanted to come home and surprise you,” he explained, placing a quick peck on their cheek, “now, how was your day?”

“Well, I definitely appreciate the surprise,” they forced a smile as not to worry him. Not that they weren’t happy to see him. Oh no, of course they were glad he was here. They just hadn’t had the energy right then. “It was… fine.”

Kazuma’s smile slowly turned into a frown. He immediately could tell it was not fine. The way they hesitated before answering and the lack of emotion in their voice caused him to worry. His hold on their waist lessened as concerned etched into his eyes.

“Just fine? Did something happen?”

“No, it was just- “

“S/o.”

S/o sighed as he pressed on. Of course, he knew them well enough to tell when something was bothering them. There was really a zero percent chance he wouldn’t have been able to tell that something was wrong.

S/o slightly pulled away from Kazuma, just enough so they could turn around and face him. When they stood face to face like that, Kazuma could really see the tired look in their eyes. S/o brought their hand up to their forehead and rubbed it lightly.

“It’s just… my work keeps piling up and it doesn’t seem to be stopping no matter what I do. It’s so, so tiring. And my boss got angry with me for falling behind. I really don’t know what I should do. Perhaps, I wasn’t cut out for this…” S/o ended their rant glancing away from Kazuma, their eyes watering up.

Kazuma was quiet for a long moment, his face not betraying any thoughts he may have been having. S/o thought for half a second that maybe they had been overreacting…

That was until Kazuma pulled them back into an embrace, holding them gently as he rubbed circles into their back. The contact soothed S/o as they wrapped their arms around him. They buried their face in his chest as a few tears slid down their cheek.

“Shh, it’s okay. You’re doing great. Everybody has a few off days; it doesn’t mean that you’re doing bad. You’ve been working a lot lately, it’s no wonder you’re tired,” he spoke softly, planting a kiss on their forehead, “perhaps a few days off is in order? We can do whatever you desire.”

The two stood there in comfortable silence for a few moments, S/o going over his words in their head. “I… I would really like that,” S/o nodded after a bit, turning their head to look up at him “thank you, Kazuma…”

“Any time, my love,” he smiled at them, “speaking of things to do any time… If you ever want someone to fight your boss…” he trailed off, looking down at the sword on his hip with a smirk.

“Kazuma!”

“I’m just saying in a duel with him, I would definitely win.”

S/o shook their head with a playful exasperated sigh. “I’m going to go get some rest,” they told him, walking down the narrow halls with Kazuma following right behind them. When they reached the door that led to their bedroom, they turned around as soon they gripped the knob.

“Kazuma?”

“Hmm?”

“I love you.”

London’s winters are very harsh, but at the same time very beautiful

Barok would of course make sure that his s/o had the warmest clothes for walks throughout the town, neglecting himself until s/o reminds him he too needs to stay warm

S/o convincing Barok to ice skate with them. It’s a bit humorous, though sweet to see the Reaper of the Bailey hesitating to join his beloved on the ice. The (most likely) shorter person slowly leading him across the pond, not letting go of his hand and having a huge smile the entire time

If s/o got cold while out, he’s immediately giving them his cape and pulling them close to him

Barok and s/o “I’m cold.” “Here, have my cape.” “I love you.” Meanwhile Ryunosuke and Kazuma “I’m cold too.” “Damn Ryunosuke I can’t control the weather.”

Barok and s/o would definitely spend a lot of time cuddling by the fire. S/o in his lap while they both get warmed up, not leaving for hours

Now Christmas time!

I can see Barok as not have celebrating Christmas since Klint’s death. But if his love wants to celebrate and all the activities involved, he’ll happy indulge them whatever they wish

If s/o wants the decorating to be between the two of them, he’ll dismiss his servants for the day so they can have the time alone. He does live in a manor so they probably won’t get the entire place decorated, but they can at least cover the main rooms

Of course, they’ll decorate the tree together. S/o doing the lower parts and Barok the higher ones. S/o insists on Barok putting the star on top of the tree

Despite his playful persona, Sherlock will take s/o’s safety 100% seriously

He knows they can take care of themselves perfectly well, but he can’t help but worry

A great detective does have a great many enemies after all

He loves having his s/o close to him and will try to stay by their side the entire time they’re investigating if he can

From 2-4 we all know Sherlock is very smart and he comes up with his “great deductions” mostly just to mess with Ryunosuke and he’ll do that with s/o too

S/o sees right through it

“Sherlock, we both know there’s no way a cat managed to stab somebody.” “Nonsense, my dear, it’s the most logical deduction out there!”

Now if there was any danger and he noticed immediately, he’d be pushing s/o out of the way or getting them to a hiding space so fast

As soon as the threat’s dealt with he’ll rush straight back to s/o to make sure they’re okay

He’ll hold them close to him, running his hand through their hair

“I’m so sorry if I scared you, my darling, but I couldn’t bear it if you were hurt.”

But now let’s say s/o did end up getting hurt >:)

Oh, this man is not forgiving himself any time soon

He’ll immediately rush them to a hospital

If the injury was severe enough to need surgery, he is not leaving the hospital lobby room

The second the doctor says it’s okay for him to see them he’s running up to their room

He refuses to leave their bedside. He’ll just hold their hand and mutter how sorry he is

Cries a bit when they wake up

When they’re well enough to leave the hospital, he’ll take them straight home and not investigate until they’re fully recovered

“Love, I’m fine.” “Don’t be illogical, my dear. You need rest and some of Iris’s tea.”
