good   girl   act,      huh?       whether   it   was   an   act   or   not...      wasn’t   that   for   her    to   decide?      besides,        it’s   not   like   she’d   get   anything   out   of   helping   him      ---------------------       he   was   injured,       &      she   decided    to   help.       why   was   that   a   crime   to   him?

‟         so         …         ”         eyebrows   furrowed   as   he   looked   at   the   bowl   in   front   of   him      .      a   mixture   of   powders   that   he   had   forgotten   the   names   of      but   he   was   certain   that   he   had   done   something   terribly   wrong      .      throughout   this   whole   baking   process   he   wasn’t   doing   that   bad   of   a   job      ,      but   that   was   only   because   he   was   in   charge   of   putting   the   contents   in   the   oven      ,      setting   the   timer      ,      and   cleaning   up      .

this   time   around   he   wanted   to   be   in   charge   of   more   since   it   looked   fun   to   mix   things   into   the   containers      .      but   this   was   his   first   time   doing   any   type   of   cooking   and   he   just   got   confused      .      ‟         i   think   i   put   in   two   cups   of   sugar   instead   of   flour      .         ”

❛         hmm...       well,        let’s   try   to   save   it!        we   can   always   store   the   extra   for   later...         ❜       she’s   already   trying   the   cake   mix       -----------------------       and   he   was   right   about   one   thing     :     extra    flour.       she   was   trying   to   rack   her   head   around,        trying   to   figure   out   the   math   to   add   the   extra   ingredients!!       she   wouldn’t   let   his   efforts   be   in   vain,        not   on   her   watch.

war-torn   &   calloused   hands   are   treated   as   if   they’re   the   most   delicate   treasures.       higurashi   kagome,         a   girl   who’s   only   ever   understood   the   horror   of   war...       was   right   now   experiencing   the   gentle   thumping   of   her   heart,        trapped   in   it’s   wretched   ivory   cage.      did   he   like   seeing   her   vulnerable?        (       tearing   her   open,      &       eating   her   heart   whole?       )      there’s   a   gentle   twinkle   in   her   eyes,      allowing   only   a   few   moments   to   pass   before   casting   her   gaze   elsewhere.       she   was   afraid   of   ruining   whatever   possessed   him   to   show   his   affections...

    “  look,  ‘gome,  are ya’ seein’?  ”   then he cuts the sausages in simple pieces before putting them in the pan ——   with no oil.   he looks far too proud of himself,  maybe something to rub in his brothers face later that not only he’s cooking with a super duper cute girl but he can,  in fact,  cook.   “  it’s easy!   even five year olds c’n do it!  ”   @feudals​

it  was  a  nice  day                               the  air  around  them  was  warm   &.   the  wind  not  too  strong,     the  sun  shining  brightly  in  the  clear  sky   . . .          but  kagome  was  so  much  brighter.          [     she’s so cute.     ]          law  thought,     their  hands  together  in  hold  as  he  gives  a  gentle  swing  between  them,     totally   &.   completely  in  love.          though  they  stop  in  their  tracks  as  she  tugs  on  his  jacket  sleeve,     eyes  looking  up  to  see  all  the  neat  little  trinkets  lined  up  in  the  shop  window.

❛❛     . . .        i  don’t  see  why  not.     ❜❜          he  softly  replies,     gently  leading  her  inside  before  looking  around.          but  it  was  only  for  just  a  second  as  he  glances  down  at  kagome  once  again,     hands  now  in  their  pockets  as  they  give  her  a  slight  smile,           ❛❛     you  should  pick  something  out.          i’ll  get  it  for  you.     ❜❜

the   gentle   sound   of   the   shop   bell,        &       the   ambience   of   shop   music   filled   their   previously   busy   surroundings.        the   nice,       cool    air   felt   refreshing   to   kagome.      (      it   was   going   to   be   summer,   soon...      )      she   was   absently   looking   at   all   of   the   cute   trinkets   on   the   shelves        &     walls,        which   were   cutely   decorated   with   stuffed   animals       &       decor.      it   wasn’t   until   she   reached   a   certain   accessory   shelve   that   had   caught   her   eyes.
