Every time people call anime Inuyasha "two-timer" somewhere an angel loses their wings. Like, anime or manga doesn't change the fact that the term is inappropriate, or too judgemental at the very least. I guess that the common use of the appellative comes from a need to protect Kagome's feelings/pov, which is a valid sentiment, because every time people call what Kagome and Inuyasha have "just a situationship" somewhere an angel loses their wings as well, that is, unless I'm failing spectacularly at understanding the semantic of the word. Because when you become so intimate with someone that they are not afraid anymore to be what they really are and show weakness, when you share all kind of hardship and happy moments... It must mean something. Something important. And, in all truth, the fact that Inuyasha is openly jealous of Kōga means that to him they (he and Kagome) are something. So of course Kagome is angry when she's left behind without even him letting her know what's going on in his mind. This is to say that I might even understand the intentions behind that term but that's still not fair, because it is not fair to try to protect/understand only one part, whether it is only Kagome or only Inuyasha. (Or only Kikyō or anyone but Kikyō).
Besides, it isn't even just a matter of what is fair and what isn't, that would be the lesser evil, rather it's that if you only empathize with one character you'll only read the story from their perspective and thus missing all the rest.
