((lol learned the trick of farming intimacy points through afk-ing in co-op pitch pot and realized that is one thing Jian would definitely beat Jixing at... because she's not a drinker. 😅 now I just have all the mental pictures of stuff like drinking games or whatever coming up for some reason or another, and Jian just perking up like "My time to shine! 😃"

((Realizing Jixing definitely got the running Esie trait of being protective of people she forms attachments to even if they're already very strong and formidable. That trait across her verses generally comes from past experiences of witnessing the fall of formidable individuals of various forms. And now that I think of it, I don't think any of her verses so far provide her with that "nobody is invincible" lesson in as raw of a form as WWM verse. Won't go into too much graphic detail about it unprompted, but regarding the decline of her master and particularly the overall situation around her eventual death... let's just say kiddo ended up with a very deeply rooted awareness of the "At the end of the day, we are all just flesh and bones" principle. 😐 So kiddo will also not assume "eh, they're strong, they'll be fine", if a given 'powerful' person she cares about appears to be in a dangerous situation, and she will try to protect them, or at minimum back them up, if she thinks she has to.

((mk so as I'm finally grinding the Hexi story, I'm under the impression this is all meant to be more of a surreal vision-y situation and not something actually happening in the literal sense in the 'real' game world. ...So it's funny imagining as I'm doing all this with Jian that he's still just living life in the background. Like tending the Blissful retreat rebuild while waiting for further leads/word on where the hell his aunt is and whatever, and he's just having some WILD dreams at night Bro just fighting epic ops in a surrealist wasteland, meanwhile in reality, Jixing just watching this guy sleep like "..." "Is he okay? 😐" The stress. It's finally getting to him. That or he literally fell down a well, got a head injury, and all of this is just the TBI talking as he heals. 😅

((I've touched on how scorched earth Jixing can potentially go in defense of Jian if she feels he's under threat, but what hasn't been mentioned is the fact that I imagine he can also absolutely open unexpectedly massive cans of whoop-ass over her too. Especially if we're talking post-Blissful Retreat attack... because... yeah.. baby boy is not escaping that without some considerable loss trauma. 😬 Mess with what would pretty much be his last remaining present loved one, and the panic-violence might trigger way harder than anyone expects from the sweet 'softie'. Jian is a nice young man. But Jian is also capable of reminding everyone how he managed to kill a 'god' if anyone messes with his girl/family again. Jian is not playing games anymore. lol
