I don’t know the title or author unfortunately, but I do know that halfway through me reading it they requested it to be available to members only, so I had to wait sometime to make my account

The premise was that Vi and Cait were at university. The opening chapter discussed Vi approaching Cait at a party and kissing her and Cait fighting herself to not like anyone because her mother had set clear rules while she was at school: no dating so she could focus on her studies. The first few chapters talked from both their points of view and their respective families were involved (Vander is alive and the groundskeeper at the univ).

There’s a part in one chapter that they meet in the garden to talk and they end up going to Cait’s room. These are some of the main details that I remember and have had no luck :(
