nonsense void

i know lots of fic writers have other Eridians saying certain words in threes for emphasis like Rocky does (e.g. dirty dirty dirty, happy happy happy, etc) but what if when they get to Erid Grace finds out every other Eridian speaks normally and Rocky has like… OCD or smth that compels him to repeat certain words specifically 3 times, and Grace has started doing it too (they’ve been stuck on a ship together for years what do you expect) so when he finds out he’s like ‘oh shit only Rock does this- wait Rocky has OCD- have i been being ableist this WHOLE TIME????’ and breaks down crying and apologizing but Rocky reassures his leaky space blob that it’s fine and he doesn’t mind/thinks it’s cute/makes him feel less different.

i was thinking abt these last night so now i have to write them down before i forget

Toshinori: has an NG tube. mans has half a stomach, he’s on a liquid diet. i just think he’d be neglecting himself for hero work without the constant physical reminder of the tube. (also has an oxygen tank he doesn’t like using bc of the tube. also he wants as few reminders of his ‘weakness’ as possible. it’s gathering dust in a closet but kept for emergencies)

Uraraka: had to be on a child leash 24/7 for a few years after her quirk manifestation bc she’d clap or something and then she’d be floating herself into the sun

Toga: gets really anemic if she doesn’t feed her quirk. at its worst she’ll have fainting spells and general dizziness that take her out until someone (usually Dabi bc u can pry Big Brother Dabi out of my cold dead hands) offers to feed her. despite her persona she still gets uncomfortable drinking from people she considers family. (trauma!)

Deku: has nerve damage in his right arm to the point of not being able to feel anything beyond pressure in his fingers/hand and shoulder/upper arm (the shigaraki scar)

Kirishima: has callous/eczema like spots from where he tried to isolate his quirk to one part of his body, got stuck, and had to have it shaved down (i headcanon that his hardened skin is like callouses, in that there’s no nerve endings. i think it’d hurt a lot otherwise). also that he has scars in/around his mouth from cutting himself with his teeth as a child

Dabi: is mostly mute due to inhaling superheated air during the fire that it absolutely fucked his throat. talking too long would cause bleeding.

Bakugou: love deaf bakugou, but also: bkg has Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) not just on his palms, so he is very meticulous about personal hygiene.
