The 13th annual international gender census, collecting information about the language we use to refer to ourselves and each other, is now open until 13th August 2026.
It’s short and easy, for most participants it takes 5 minutes or less.
After the survey is closed I’ll process the results and publish a spreadsheet of the data and a report summarising the main findings. Then anyone can use them for academic or business purposes, self-advocacy, tracking the popularity of language over time, and just feeling like we’re part of a huge and diverse community.

It adds wheelchairs, walkers, rollators, crutches, canes and more! They are all customisible and easy to acquire early game!
There is even a way to put a sword in your cane, and extra storage in your wheelchair! The latter reminds us of our backpack on our actual chair! And you can add a floating or diving upgrade to your chair, so exploration is easier! You can lock dismount too, so you can actually crouch while using the wheelchair!
And the models are so pretty! We got a wheelchair with copper wheels, a teal seat and a spruce frame, and a spruce cane with a copper handle!
We highly recommend it to any disabled Minecraft players!

I love the common everyday things that most people don't think of as disability aids: multifocal contact lenses so I can see both near and far, insoles so my knees don't hurt, a smartwatch I use to track my water intake so I stay hydrated, the phone camera I use to zoom in on fine-print ingredient lists so I can be sure I avoid allergens, a deep bathtub where I soak away my aches, a single-unit washer-dryer so I don't hurt my back moving heavy wet laundry from one machine to another and a laundry table the right height for folding clothes without hurting my arms or shoulders. Grateful for each and every one.
When you start really looking around and thinking, you realize there are so many aids out there. Some of them are just more accepted or more of a 'normal' item.

The tap was designed in 2010 by Peter Jamieson and given it isn't listed anywhere on the Ritmonio website anymore I'm assuming it's been discontinued. HOWEVER ☝ I WAS able to find somewhere selling it (I'm guessing leftover stock?):
It's currently on sale, but full price is 378 euros ($617 AUD or $436 USD).
I do think the kitchen version looks nice at least.
Apparently they were inspired by the golden ratio, which I guess I can see more in the kitchen version lmao?? The designer ALSO has a range of taps for the same company inspired by *checks notes* Times New Roman.

it sucks that the overwhelming majority of medical messaging around salt/sodium is "evil poisonous substance that you're definitely already eating way too much of," because like. you do still need it. (trust me, as a POTS-haver, I've had to completely rewire my own brain about salt.) and you need more salt when the entire northern hemisphere is hot enough to fry an egg on. ever tried sucking down the recommended 64oz of hydration per day entirely as water, only to find you're peeing constantly without any of the purported benefits of being "hydrated"? assuming you don't have another medical condition that causes frequent urination, your body probably needed more salt/electrolytes to be able to hold onto that water and make use of it. if there was ever a time to keep a sports drink/pedialyte/etc within constant reach, it's when the heat index is 110°F/43°C.
