I Like It!

It would be correct to say, “I love it!”  What I mean is that I like being a boy who is girly.  I like girly things.  I like to feel feminine.  I like a womanly softness, not just in the clothes, but also in the spirit of life.  Yet, I’m a boy.  I don’t think it sucks to be a boy, however. Some might feel that way and that’s perfectly fine.  For me, I like the best of both worlds.  I like blending the gender perceptions up and I also enjoy the taboo of it all too.  I don’t despise my gender and think it’s great that I can lean any direction.  Again, that’s me.  Maybe it’s different for you.  Either way, could I encourage you simply to think positive.  In general, life doesn’t have to suck.  Circumstances can, challenges can, opportunities can.  But life?  It doesn’t have to suck.

I’ve been in a bit of a slump with Tumblr.  The thoughts and ideas aren’t flowing since Tumblr has something wrong with the queue.  And life has been very hectic.  Hopefully, I’ll be able to resume with posting better in the near future.  Hope everyone is well.

Sometimes, I sit with these thoughts and realize… there’s a lot about me I simply don’t “get.” I don’t always know why certain things make my heart flutter, or why I’m drawn so deeply to softness, beauty, and quiet expressions of self.

Maybe growing up surrounded by beauty — with a mother who styled hair and a father who cared for delicate clothes — wasn’t just a backdrop to my life. Maybe it planted something tender inside me: a longing not just to see the beauty, but to be part of it. Not just to appreciate it on others, but to wear it, feel it, live it.

And maybe I don’t need to fully understand it. Maybe I’m not meant to wrap it all up neatly with an answer. Maybe… I’m meant to lean into my “whatever” — my quirks, my longings, my gentle girly heart — and simply be content with it. 💖✨

Sometimes, life’s mysteries aren’t puzzles to solve — they’re gifts to embrace. And today, I’m choosing to embrace mine–whether growing or not–with open arms. 🎀
