After they got married, Julien opened a life insurance policy under John's name (with his knowledge of course). He told John that they were going to pull a scam to get the money and all they had to do was fake John's death. JD (under the influence of his new indulgent lifestyle) didn't think much of it and trusted that Julien knew what he was doing.
Well not long after, they were doing a show and there was a technical mix up that revealed Julien had been lip syncing all his shows. John was flabbergasted and betrayed that Julien wasn't even performing but pretending to perform.
After that, JD didn't trust Julien anymore and he started worrying that "faking his death" was going to turn into "realing his death," so he ran away... Brokenhearted
