“How often would you sit on the bottom of the seat, though?” He frowns and gestures towards her with a nod. “Who are these assholes, anyway?” He’s always known she was picked on, never had names, though. He gives half a grin, head still hazy. “Feeling as great as ever. How have you been doing?” Obviously not the greatest, given her situation. He turns back to the problem, folding his arms. “I think I could climb that tree, probably.” Felix, you’ll do something stupid, you move your body like a newborn deer.

Felix immediately drags whatever buildable rubbish there was to the side of the house, then scales his lanky self up the heap to his boyfriend’s window. “Can I kiss you? Or do you want me to keep away?” Felix himself didn’t care, he’d been so deprived of his boyfriend all he wanted was to experience him again. But he couldn’t assume Danny felt the same.

“And you think I popped out looking like a Eugene, huh?” He probably should be offended.

Motormouth over here. Every syllable that fell from Danny’s lips was a second wasted. “Cut the small talk. Is there a ladder or something I could climb up?” He wouldn’t admit it, but he was practically dying with how affection-starved he’s been.

A frown hit his face. “What do you mean I don’t look like a Zachary? No baby pops out looking like a certain name, they all just kinda pop out looking gross.”

He smirks, sitting forward in his seat, both legs on the ground now. Jack Skellington motherfucker. “I’m a Zachary, nice to meet you.” Felix hadn’t been a shithead in too long. He was long overdue. There was barely any prank here, but being able to introduce yourself held a lot of power.

There were a few birds flying around that occupied his attention before he heard a shift from above him. He could barely contain himself standing up to look up towards his boyfriend. Once he locked his eyes on him, a bright smile struck his face, crinkling his eyes nearly shut. Damn, he was lucky. He loved that kid so much. “Look at me. You ever expect to see me pulling a Romeo and Juliet, huh?” He can’t yell it up. He can’t even talk normal volume. He had to try to stay quiet while projecting, otherwise there could be blood.

Pulling up to his boyfriend’s house, Felix skips his residency and parks four houses down. This house only had an old woman with who caught him parking there once. She had a lovely conversation with him, learning the reason of his visit. She was more than happy to let him park there as long as he wasn’t a stranger. He pulls the keys out of the ignition, then steps out of the car. He gives a wave to Ingrid, who was watching from the window with her shawl on, waving right back. For as much of a shithead Felix was, he had a thing with old people. He walked through Danny’s yard, around the back while avoiding windows to make sure Douglas didn’t see him. Once he was clear, he sat under Danny’s window and sent him a quick text, “Look down.” Rocks at the window is outdated and far too attention-seeking.

“You struck out on that one, sorry about that.” She was interesting, definitely. “Alright, hear me out. Kids are named Apple. Alright? Kanye’s kid is North. Anything can happen.” He pauses, then shrugs. “Beats me, I don’t ask people their shit.”

Felix’s mouth falls agape with feigned hurt. “You think I’m a Eugene? Damn. Alright, you look like a Savannah. Or a June.” He pauses, looking closer at her. “Kelsey?”

“All I’m saying is, every adult I encounter is miserable in their own way. So I’m not hitting eighteen with high expectations.” Felix grins slightly, turning his body more towards her. Now she actually had his attention. “Okay, fair. So, if my name wasn’t beanstalk, I’m curious; what do you think my name would be?”

“That’s what I imagine adulthood is. Just... Really sad.” That was edgy. Way to make a good impression. “Nah, just a dude who figures out people. Not a desirable trait.” Felix, what the fuck are you talking about, edge-lord? He looks over at her, finger twirled in his curls. “That’s my name now? Nothing else comes to mind?”
