​The Chief Executive of Hong Kong Carrie Lam suggested to either landfills or develop the country parks in Hong Kong. The land supply is limited and there will not be enough lands for building residual houses without them.

On the other hand, the author suggested there are large amount of brownfield and village-type land. If Carrie is strong enough to develop these area, it can still provide a huge amount of flats without destroying the environment.

However, according to Basic Law, the indigenous residents should have their right to build their small houses inside their village area. Developing those lands will definitely makes them angry and they are rich enough to sue the government. I will put these lands as last choice if I am a governor. Turning brownfield into residual area is a good choice but I don't think the government is brave enough to affect the earn and living of the triad. As a result, develop country park or landfill seems the only choice they have.

Although country parks in Hong Kong occupied a large area of land, its function is to provide green field and living area for wild animals. It can also be used as a back yard of our residents. It looks like they have low economic value but it has high psychological and environmental value. They should not be developed.

​10 years had passed after the last financial crisis. The economy had fully recovered and all stocks and investment markets went well. Ferguson warned that there are another crisis coming, as he had successfully predicted the last financial crisis in 2007.

​He had suggested some reason, the lack of working labours, the aging population and high dependency ratio may increase the cost of labour. Increasing interest rate will lead to high inflation rate. Computerisation in some industries will rise the unemployment rate of unskilled workers. These will cause the new crisis.

​However, all these problem will not be exploded in short period of time. Many time and talents are involved to fix the problem. Therefore, it is not as dangerous as the previous crisis. It may be a new wave of industrial revolution and new tools and living standard will be introduced to improve our life. I guess 2017 will be safe from financial crisis.

When I saw this title at the first place, I was thinking what does “free lunch” mean? Do pan-democracy parties requested for some unreasonable requirement which the government cannot provide. After reading through the whole essay, I finally understand that the free lunch is really a lunch.

It is a good news they can finally sit down and talk together. Although the distance between two standpoint are still far away, talks always better than fright. Moreover, it is a weak time for pan-democracy party now. They need some rest and prepared for the by-election. They cannot afford one more failure in their election.

Last Saturday and Sunday, two tourists came from mainland had trapped in Kowloon Peak during Tropical Cyclone period. More than hundred firefighters risked their life for rescue them under heavy rain and strong wind. 1 firefighter got hurt during the operation. Hiking and climbing difficult hills under signal number 1 is irresponsible to yourself and the rescue team. This habit should be avoided.

The main cause is that tourists does not know the situation of hills in Hong Kong. They may also forget to check the weather condition before their trip. As a result, I agree with the author that tourists should join the local hiking team for some difficult routes. Local team leaders knows well about the environment and the weather. They can give suggestions and reminder to their members so members can have better preparation.

Some teenagers also keen on following the  suggestions and beautiful photos. However, they might over-estimate their abilities. Education and advertisement should be used to alert them what they will face. 

Hiking is a healthy and safe sport. Please don't make it become a danger activity.

The identity of Hong Kong people nowadays is not clear. Hong Kong is part of China but the connection between two places had separated for more than a hundred years. The living style, the law and the view of democracy are different. The writer had interviewed two young people from similar political views, but applied totally difference approach to awake and keep the uniqueness and democracy of Hong Kong.

Kelvin Lee, who were working in insurance industry, tried to set up promotion counter for introducing the problem Hong Kong facing and wake the worker in his industry to aware and face the problem, not just accept and keep their current life and income. He knows that his colleagues have family and financial burden, so they cannot stand out and fright for better future of Hong Kong. He just need their support and agreement. However, insurance industry is highly depending on the market from mainland China, most of them and also the management levels of insurance companies don’t want to take the risk supporting his team, there is still a long way Kelvin have to go.

On the other hand, Gary Wong had decided to build another route for the future of Hong Kong. He came from chemical industry but he quitted his job and joined Path of Democracy. He and his team believe Hong Kong Pan-democracy group and the Chinese government should sit down and talk, but not arguing and occupy something. He thinks there should have a middle way to go, to make both parties happy and keep the opportunities and advantages of Hong Kong. At the same time, the democracy and freedom can be kept or even improved.

However, in my personal opinion, I think both side won’t be succeeded. The Chinese Government had already decided to control Hong Kong strictly and many request and problems had already raised into national security problems. The past events and occupy actions demonstrate the Chinese Government cannot control the situation of Hong Kong and they won’t let it happen again. Kelvin and Gary’s view is just moon in the water.

It’s time for our beautiful airport to renew itself. It was a present from the British Hong Kong Government to HKSAR. Although the Chinese Government does not believe in this project and thwart in many design of the new airport, the Chek Lap Kok Airport final opened in 1998. It is a modern building wrapped by many glasses. Sun light can be passed through the windows and light up the internal building. It is beautiful and it always takes the top 10 in Skytrax World Airport Awards.

However, it had operated for 19 years and somethings is getting old. It is time to update itself to server more planes and the third runway. Although I do not agree with the third runway project, it still passed the committee so new facilities for terminal building is now necessary. I hope the new hardware can bring our tourists a better service.

The fee of A&E and other public medical services will be increased from June 18. Therefore, the poor will have higher burden on medical treatments. They have introduced a new policy to support the elderly by exempts their fee if they have low value of asset. They have to submit documents to prove they can fulfill the requirement.

HKEX is about to introduce new broad for high technology and start-up companies. This new board may introduced dual-share structure as the founder wants to have minority stake but retain control. The existing boards are main board and Growth Enterprise Market (GEM) board.

Dual-share structure are popular in Mainland China and United States. However, HKEX had suggested to implement in Hong Kong but it was rejected by SFC. Alibaba was designed to opted to list in Hong Kong. However, due to the rejected on dual-share structure, they had moved to New York. It is reasonable to reject dual-share in existing board as it is a really large change and it become not fair to existing stocks.

On the other hand, it is acceptable for a new board. All stocks can be fairly issued in dual-share from the beginning.

Hong Kong is a safe place compare with other Europe and America cities. There are no terrorist attack which will hurt many lives and properties. However, the new trend of lone wolves attack, which still needs our concern.

Some of the line wolves attacks were not organized by ISIS or other Muslims orgainsations. They were started by some angry Muslims who had no fair chance and life compare with others. They started the attack by copying the strategy of real terrorists. However, this kind of attacks still cause huge casualties.

We need to stay alert on the events happened nearby but do not do harassment, prejudice, discrimination and fear-mongering.

​The life of Hong Kong poor level citizens become harder and harder nowadays. The increasing food inflation rate and housing rent keeps the living cost increases and lower their living quality. At the same time, rich and foreigners also suffered from this problem.

​Foreigners can decided to move and set up office which they like. They found the housing cost and educational cost are too expensive for them and do not worth it. Some of them had decided to move to nearby well developed Asian cities such as Taiwan and Singapore, which can provide similar service and living standard in a much lower and stable price. However, base on the "big market, small government" and "positive non-interventionist" policies, the government had no effective policies to solve the problem. The bureaucrats are all reluctant to change and want to keep the old stable ways.

​There are no obvious way to solve it now. It is hard to bring huge revolution inside the government since there size of civil servants are too large. The rich are reluctant to loss their money and the poor are not strong and brave enough to fright against the system. As a result, it is nearly impossible to redistribute of wealthy.

​n Hong Kong, there are always a claim for collusion between the government officials and business people. However, the politicians do no really have evidence to prove it. On the other hand, a new uploaded video from former a Chinese officer from state security agency recognised he had token part into similar things. As the PRC had decided to use all their power to fright against corruption, the similar stories will be discovered more regularly.

​Although it is not happy to receive similar news, these should be discovered as soon as possible to alert the tycoons and governors. The corruption habbit in China should be stopped immediately to build a better environment. However, it is not a easy jobs since Chinese was used to give lai see to people they respect, including government officers. They are used to giving money to buy some convenience thus corruption occurs. This habit should be forbidden and educated the general public the consequence of corrpution.

​The accident of escalator in Langham Place in Mongkok had injured 18 people. One of them were seriously hurt. The E&M department had finally some conclusion from their investigation. The metal chains which designed to support the weight of 850 people had broken into parts. At the same time, the emergency braking system failed to stop the movement immediately. Therefore, the escalator changed the moving direction and went downward. The broken chain safety device were found with dried grease which caused the device cannot function well.

Although the government had proper action and check all escalator in Hong Kong, users should also pay more attention on it. First, we should not focus on our mobile device or other things during using the escalator. We have to keep alert as everything may happen. Second, avoid using all two lances in the escalator. Keep some space and distance for running away from dangerous.

Carrie Lam is the first female Chief Executive of Hong Kong. It is a symbol of raising social status of female. Although she had not announced any policies and statement about this, we believe she will bring with some changes on working female.

In Chinese society, working female face more difficulties compared with western countries. In our traditional concept, “man should be work outside and female should be stay at home and be a good housewife”. Therefore, the older generation don’t want their daughters or daughter in law go out and work for others. Therefore, the rate of female workers in Hong Kong is a little bit low. The percentage of female in management level is less than 20%.

As the education level of female has increased, women start to take more position in the society. In the young generation, the difference between male and female is very small. But still, some of the jobs have only little amount of male or female. However, male and female nowadays have fair opportunities in most of the jobs. It is not a dream that female can take half of the important positions in government and business sectors.

Take care when we are climbing the hills. It is not really difficult to climb up the lion rock, and it is really beautiful for climbing inside the fog. I can see the head but not the body, and otherwise, where the whole hill can be seen vaguely. There are no barrier near the edge, so it is very easy to fall if we just take photos but don’t take care on the levlels.

Hope the man can rest in peace and it will not happen again.

This is a new way to teach, and really a good way to teach. The mother taught her baby to express himself through cry, and release their unhappiness and sadness. After expressed their feeling, baby can feel himself more peaceful and claim. She taught her baby how to control his emotion, but not stop him by any scold and punishment.

It is really a complicated case. The female claimed to be discriminated is an Indonesian maid. It is really a normal practice to call the maid back to their motherland and give birth. Therefore, it looks reasonable to fire her and let her back to Indonesia. However, they should do it in a better way but not fire her without 1 month notice. They may also give her some bonus to congratulate for her baby.

Really interest in what the judge will sentence to this cases. And hope there are no more sex discrimination in Hong Kong.
