Hey so I never make posts like this because I'm too proud to ask for help but... I need help. I lost my job on July 30th and unemployment decided to approve me for a single week of that month (coming out to a whopping 300 dollars) and I just got two new jobs but I still haven't paid my full rent for September, let alone figured out how I'm going to pay for October, and I feel like I'm drowning. I'm also like two months off my antidepressants which probably isn't helping. Anyways. If you can spare anything to help me out or share this, that would be... Amazing. I just don't know what to do at this point.

Negative Space

Last night, I dreamt of you

In a fun little dream

About going back home.

We spoke only once

Alone in the kitchen

And you cleaned the dishes

While I cleaned the table

Sickly sweet smile

And angry bright eyes

Like you always said it

When I was younger

And less aware of

The ways in which my mind works

Sneered between your lips

Hissed with suds on your arms

"Lazy"

I echoed with paper towel in hand

And when I awoke

The word repeated in my head

And curled in my chest

A beast reaching for my heart

And when I awoke

I pulled all the dishes from the shelves

I scrubbed until my hands turned raw

And the sponge fell to pieces.

And when I awoke

I made my whole house sparkle

A house you have never been in

And will never see.

For fear of the possibility

The smallest chance

Of someone (of you) saying "lazy"

To me.

Moving is one of the most stressful things in the world for me and I have to do it ithin the next month, knowing that I'm not able to give adequate notice and I'll be breaking my lease. Not to mention all of my pets are going to be gone the whole month and possibly longer (staying with friends or family) and they are one of my only sources of actual comfort. And I work in a pet store so I'll constantly be seeing everyone else's pets.

This. This is going to make me spiral.

And I was doing so well. My partner and I finally have good jobs. Our roommate is moving out so we were going to have more space. I was finally happy and stable for once in my life. We were finally, finally going to go get eloped this month. And the world is determined to make me miserable.

Anyways, any money would super help us out right now to pay for groceries and probably a bigger ferret cage for my ferrets since they're not going to be free roaming at their temporary house. Or even help us buy mattresses when we do move because we have bedbugs in this apartment a don't want to bring them with. My ko.fi is felilla.

To add to this horrible month, my great grandfather has passed away and I need to rent a car to get to where the funeral is being held. And I barely have enough money to keep myself fed (I've been eating a lot of potatoes). Anything can help. Thank you.
