hiii! So sorry if this has been answered before, but I really like your cat genetics picrew and I'm wondering if I could possibly take inspiration and make my own genetically realistic picrew with some of the same functions (like the little information window things) but with more genes and my own spin. Obviously I would use my own art and cat genetics knowledge, but as far as I know you're the only person whose made a picrew like this, so I thought asking first would be the best option

the comic will be on a 2 pages per week (monday & thursday) schedule for a while, I haven't been on quite the same level of grind needed to maintain 3 per week
i like drawing cats but dont like drawing anthros so he only gets a blob for a torso
just for fun here's a realistic smolderpaw design. this is the phenotype her design is already based on, I just stylize it
put some white on this kitty and it's the same coat color as smold!
a majority (but not all) of the IFTC cast is designed with a real life cat phenotype in mind because I am a cat genetics nerd guy, here's some for cats that have been introduced already:
smolderpaw: seal sepia point tortoiseshell w/ low white
antlerstar: cream ticked tabby
thistletail: lilac bicolor
pineclaw: chocolate bicolor
when designing offspring/siblings/parents I sometimes loosely try to follow some genetics rules for fun, BUT it's never going to be a solid indicator of any heritage because I also regularly break those rules so I don't recommend analyzing the characters' genetics to figure out secret relatives. cats having accurate genetics is a fun extra thing that sometimes happens and not a rule
many characters have colors/patterns that are rare to see outside of pedigree cats because I like utilizing the wider range of colors, but none of them are any particular breed (except for potentially some housecat characters)
