My chicken nuggets taste like popcorn!
itsĀ āthighs rubbing together under ya sundressā season
Buy cute, cheap lace leggings. Cut them a little above your knee. Hem them or donāt, but then you can wear them under your sundresses and not worry about how you sit or if your thighs chafe, and if anyone sees them they look cute af so hell yes
Or a little deodorant between the thighs is magical
Also, LUSH sells this dust called Silky Underwear that makes your skin smooth so they donāt stick together or chafe.
I love that weāre all here for each other in this season of need
Monistat has an anti-chafing gel that works wonders and I live by. You can usually find it in the feminine care aisle of any drugstore.Ā
Thereās this stuff called Glideā¦pretty cheap & works hella miracles
Iām so ready for sundress season.Ā
reblog to save a thigh
REBLOG TO SAVE A THIGH
Also bandelettes, anti-thigh chafing bands. I love these things.
share share share and be confident and comfortable in your dresses/skirts this summer, lovelies! :) Ā Ā

i tried to explain what generational trauma is to someone recently and they were like āoh so because something happened historically, you get to have issues about it now?ā and no.... thatās not what that is.
when i was in 8th grade, on my class trip to washington dc, we visited the holocaust museum. itās a wonderful, extensive, informative place, and itās a beautiful tribute to the victims. as a jewish kid, i knew what the holocaust was. iād faced antisemetism every day of my life, and will continue to do so. i knew what had happened to my ancestors not too long ago.
but when i stood in that museum. in the recreation of the cattle trains used to move us to the camps. in the recreation of an auschwitz cabin, staring at the map of the camp. when i saw the pile of shoes and jewelry taken from the victims. when i learned how their hair, so very much like mine, was cut for having texture. and how their teeth were pulled for the gold fillings. i had a panic attack.
it was embarrassing, but i was a shitty little 8th grader, and i tried to hide it. but I couldnāt breathe. it was like there was a band around my chest the entire time i was in the museum. i was surrounded by ghosts, by the whispers of emaciated men and trapped women and crying children.
what is generational trauma?
itās the psychological idea that trauma can be passed down through multiple different ways. trauma can change you significantly, even rewrite neural pathways and physically change how you think. that, paired with the cycle of subconsciously sharing our trauma with our children, as well as mixing with the trauma we learn as we grow, leads to some really rough patches in our relationships with our identites.
this is a really great 4 minute video from the healing foundation about the trauma carried by aboriginal people in Australia. tw for some really heavy topics, but all presented in a relaxed and serious environment.
what do we do?
well, honestly, i donāt know. itās not like weāre gonna stop sharing our stories with our descendants, nor our histories. we canāt get rid of things related to our identities that give us our own trauma, the bigotry we face unfortunately isnāt going anywhere.
but being aware of your generational trauma is a good step. itās not just being āsadā or āsensitiveā to history. itās our history still affecting us today. when your indigenous friends are made upset by discussions of colonization, when your black friends feel the weight of a millenia of racism placed on their shoulders, when your gay friends ask you to please stop using that word, when your trans friends see another historical figure deadnamed and misgendered, when your jewish friends canāt talk about the Shoah without their voices breaking.
so why the fuck are you lecturing us?
our murdered ancestors live on in us, in our eyes, our hearts. we are reminded of them constantly, made painfully aware of who we are and how many people hate us.
we were not supposed to survive, and if most of the world had their way, we wouldnāt have. (no, the allies were not heroes of wwii, you turned us away at your borders and continue to let us die from nazis today. if america had had the option, they wouldnāt have given a shit about jewish victims, but thatās a whole other essay i could write)
itās time to start acknowledging the past, acknowledging your generational trauma and the trauma of those around you. iām not making up an excuse to āhave issuesā. at the time iām writing this, october 2020, iām 17. i have felt this weight my entire life, and i will continue to shoulder it, as will everyone else.
my point is, maybe we can shoulder that weight together. maybe then it wonāt weigh us down as badly. we have solidarity, and we are tough, and resilient, and strong, and beautiful. your generational trauma is something to be aware of, but not ashamed of. we can do thisāchange the world for the better. we can break the cycle so our descendants donāt feel as we do.
you should reblog this even if youāre not affected by it. goy do not care about jewish people at all and that is so fucking clear
reblogging again for thanksgiving. reach out to your native friends today. listen to them. show them kindness and respect and solidarity.
āChoose people who choose you.ā

Okay but lets illustrate how much white privileged is involved with this story. The weapons this little demon used to kill Grant Nelson were stolen from Walmart. She walked into Walmart, grabbed a machete and a knife, and then just casually walked out the door without anyone attempting to stop her. You get a box of tampons from Walmart and you donāt have it in a bag, they wanna check your receipt. Becky the Sociopath walked out unchecked with literal weapons.
Then she had time to wait outside for the uber this poor man drove to come pick her up. Then she got in his back seat and stabbed him multiple times, pushed him out onto the street, and stole the car. He was able to tell the police who stabbed him before he died. She then crashes the car and is found by the police hiding behind a tree covered in blood. The police try to gently coerce her into dropping her fucking blood covered knives and when she refuses do they shoot her eight times? Oh noooo Lizzy Borden gets tazed and brought in unharmed.
Like just think about the stories that have come out these past two weeks alone. The unarmed black teenager who were literally murdered based on vague suspicion and this girl actually kills someone and is still standing.
The white girl who stole weapons from Walmart and killed an Uber driver was taken alive.
The white guy who took weapons to a convention and planned to kill Jason David Frank and multiple police officers was taken alive.
The white guy who murdered two men who had tried to defend the Muslim women he was harassing was taken alive.
Donāt tell me police had to kill Tamir Rice or Michael Brown or ANYONE else out of caution or fear for their safety. Not when white people who are legitimate threats, even direct threats to police, are routinely taken alive.
Weāre all having āhard conversationsā about racism, police brutality, and #BlackLivesMatterĀ I hope.Ā
Youāve probably noticed that detractors often use the same āracist talking pointsā in response. Hereās a researched and sourced guide to help you answer, for the times you may get stuck.

The drag queen from this photo has spoken up about the photo.
I wonāt speak for all liberals, but Iād like to see a future where it isnāt a big deal for a woman in full modesty garb to sit next to a drag queen in NYC. Itās become a bit of a sensation, but her and I were just existing. The freedom to simply be yourself in a sea of people who arenāt like you is a freedom we all deserve.
The central irony is that this isnāt some hypothetical futureāitās just present day reality. This is a picture of two ordinary people going about their normal lives despite how haters want to politicize it lmao. So the underlying message is not āfuture liberals wantā itās āpeople conservatives want to eradicateā

thereās nothing purer or better than how much kids enjoy being picked up and then hurled at soft surfaces
anyone whoās ever been around kids for ay meaningful amount of time should know exactly how much kids long to be hefted up and then just fuckin tossed! itās so good! theyāre so excited to get fucking tossed around like a sack of potatoes itās so pure
Why do kids love it so much? Like I remember when I was a kid at diving practice during the summer, the best part was when one if the coaches would toss you into the deep end. And in gymnastics coaches would toss us into the foam pit. Do kids just have a evolutionary urge to die?

āVestibular sense provides information about where the body is in relation to its surroundings. This is the sense that helps you understand balance, and it connects with all the other senses.
When the vestibular system does not develop properly all other senses will struggle to function properly. Without a strong vestibular sense, kids will have no choice but to fidget, get frustrated, experience more falls and aggression, get too close to people when talking, and struggle with focusing and listening. Because they literally cannot help it.ā
āHere are a few ways to support your childās vestibular sense:
Spinning in circles.
Using a Merry-Go-Round.
Rolling down a hill.
Spinning on a swing.
Going upside down.
Climbing trees.
Rocking.
Jumping rope.
Summersaults or cartwheels.
Using monkey bars.
Skating.
Going backwards.
Swimming.
Dancing.
Wheel-barrel walks.ā
Yeeting kids, spinning them, flipping them upside down, tossing them in the air, and otherwise disrupting their balance temporarily, is Important For Their Development, specifically for their vestibular sense.
Kids love this because they NEED it.
In other words: Donāt forget to calibrate your childās GPS!
YEET THE CHILD FOR THEIR HEALTH
Hi! Paediatric Occupational Therapist here who yeets children into pillows for a living. Itās actually more than the vestibular system! Itās also giving them proprioception, which is the feeling of your joints and muscles / where your body is in space!Ā
We all seek proprioceptive input, leaning against walls, pushing against the steering wheel when driving, giving your body a squeeze to wake yourself up, the list goes on! When weĀ ācrashā kids into soft things like pillows or beds, weāre waking their bodies up AND calming their bodies down! In other words, getting them into this super nice zone ofĀ ājust rightā regulation.Ā
When I see a child who is bouncing off the walls and canāt seem to stand still for more than a few seconds? I start wrestling with them, crashing them into pillows, giving their body the right amount of input they need to feel good and organised. And suddenly, this kid is able to sit and play attentively or do their handwriting practice. Itās amazing! If you want to know more about why the vestibular and proprioceptive systems are awesome at making your body feel good, google those two words (and sensory processing) and read through some occupational therapy websites!Ā
Side note: As adults, does your body ever feel jittering/jiggly/wiggly/like it needs to move or calm down but you just canāt figure out why? Thatās your sensory system saying Hey! I need to feel differently in order to function better! Hereās what you can do:
Jump up and down (vestibular and proprioception)
Give yourself big squeezes (proprioception)
Place your hands on a wall and do push ups (proprioception)
Do cartwheels (vestibular and proprioception)
Get someone to give you the biggest bear hug for at least 10 seconds (proprioception and social connection, also proven to help regulate your sensory system into just right zone!)
Get a drink of water and drink it through a straw OR blow bubbles into the water (way more fun!) (oral motor input and respiration)
Have a shower or a bath (tactile)
Stretch and do exercise (vestibular and proprioception)
Eat something crunchy or chewy (like chips or gum) (oral motor input)
Listen to some music that suits your mood (auditory)
etc etc etc! Iām sure you already have a strategy that your body has figured out works for you. I personally like to chew gum when I feel like i need to eat something but Iām not actually hungry and just need that chewing sensation in my jaw.Ā
Long story short, everyone has a sensory system and we all use regulation strategies like the ones listed above to help make our body feel better. So if you ever see someone (especially kids!) fidgeting and having a hard time focusing, maybe suggest something from the list above!
Are you telling me that push ups are the cure for ADHD leg bounce?
Push-ups have always been the cure for the ADHD leg bounce but for some reason no one wants to hear it.

My heart belongs to Roslyn. And it always will. Itās difficult to explain but⦠I feel as if she and I have known each other through many incarnations throughout the ages. Our souls are one and I- I canāt imagine life apart from her.

Once you become a certain age, it is your responsibility to unlearn behaviors that hinder your growth as a person.
Man I cannot stress this enough. The āthis is how I am, take it or leave itā attitude is an act of immaturity. We all have toxic traits that we need to work on and as an adult itās our responsibility to recognize the damage that they can do to the ones we love. We all need to put in more effort in becoming better individuals.
