BE A BIG SHOT

         clearly   phased   by   the   response   ,   finley’s   demeanor   turns   to   hopelessness   .   “   i   was   just   kind   of   hoping   that   maybe   ..   just   fucking   maybe   ,   you’d   prove   all   those   rumors   to   be   false   .   turns   out   ,   they   weren’t   .   ”

              "    why  do  you  have  such  a  sour  look  on  your  face  ?  you’re  killing  the  vibe  here  .  and  ,  i’m  two  seconds  away  from  just  walking  back  to  my  apartment  so  either  do  something  about  it  ,  or  stop  wasting  my  time  .    "    attitude  will  come  around  with  the  roll  of  her  eyes  ,  nostrils  huffing  out  a  long  breath  and  arms  crossing  over  chest  to  keep  her  body  from  shivering  due  to  the  chill  blast  of  the  wind  .  sure  ,  they  were  just  a  neighbor  of  hers  .  but  ,  she  did  take  a  sudden  interest  in  them  from  the  moment  they  moved  in  a  couple  weeks  back  .  they  had  looks  that  could  kill  ,  and  she  would  be  lying  if  she  said  she  didn’t  enjoy  the  casual  flirtatious  encounters  .  it  was  almost  like  a  daily  thing  of  theirs  to  meet  up  at  the  mailbox  before  exchanging  googly  eyes  ,  and  both  going  on  their  separate  ways  back  to  their  respective  apartments  .  aria  wasn’t  one  for  anything  more  than  relaxed  relationships  ;  so  ,  she’ll  find  herself  irritated  by  the  mere  fact  they  had  a  sudden  change  of  heart  .  surely  it  was  nothing  SHE  did  ,  because  it  wasn’t  like  her  to  do  anything  wrong  in  her  own  little  world  .  

        ‘   i abandoned my whole streaming schedule for a week just so i can spend it with you.  if that sounds clingy and needy then i’m totally making this up.   ’   @feignedglow·

TO  WHOM  IT  MAY  CONCERN  ,

          it  really  is  a  small  world.  nothing  could  have  prepared  him  to  see  them  as  his  intriguing  neighbor  ,  but  somehow  it  makes  complete  sense.  the  city  is  only  a  few  hours  from  the  town  they  grew  up  in  and  they  regularly  see  a  few  of  their  high  school  friends  around  from  time  to  time  anyway.  they’re  different,  though  ,  and  it  might  be  because  of  the  crush  he  had  on  them  that  waxed  and  waned  throughout  their  four  years  in  school.  

          after  the  time  the  two  of  them  had  spent  recently  together  ,  sloane  decided  to  ask  them  over  to  share  a  box  of  wine  while  watching  classic  halloween  movies.  he’s  definitely  a  glass  too  far  into  the  box  ,  but  that  doesn’t  stop  him  from  filling  his  ceramic  mug  to  the  brim  again  when  they  finish  their  first  movie  of  the  night.     “     d’you  want  some  more     ?     ”     he  can  feel  how  flushed  he  is  and  hopefully  it  hides  the  blush  he  can’t  seem  to  rid  himself  of  when  he  looks  at  them.     “     orrrrr  some  food     ?     i  have  a  lot  more  popcorn.     ”     /     @feignedglow·

                    HIGH  SCHOOL  HAD  BEEN  A  nightmare  for  them  &  while  adulthood  proved  to  be  even  worse  ,  charlie  did  not  look  back  fondly  on  those  four  years  .  being  a  band  geek  kept  a  target  on  their  back  by  nature  &  coming  to  terms  with  their  sexuality  wasn’t  for  the  most  delightful  experience  either  .  having  a  crush  on  one  of  the  popular  kids  from  first  day  to  graduation  didn’t  help  in  the  slightest  .  &  now  ,  somehow  sloane  ended  up  as  charlie’s  neighbor  ,  making  their  grown  up  experience  something  akin  to  a  roller  coaster  .
