On The Go, With Nowhere To Go

4 months, 4 countries, 4 thousand dollars, 4 pairs of underwear. Did I mention 4 is my favorite number? 

On June 9th, I got off a plane and stepped foot back on American soil, reluctantly. Since then.. I’ve been trying to come up with the perfect sequence of words to describe my experience traveling through Southeast Asia.. Its now September 7th, and I think I finally have some thoughts put together that I can share. 

There is nothing more reassuring of what you’re capable of than watching how life unfolds in front of you as you make your way through unknown lands. You get the chance to see how people outside of your comfortable social circle, receive you. The love you receive while on the road is a clear reflection of who you are and the kind of energy you bring. Your love will also be tested.. Things wont go your way, people may screw you over, it may begin to feel like you aren’t cut out for this life of adventure you’ve chosen. Trust me, it’s all a test. You’ll almost always come out on the other side with a deeper understanding of why you went through those difficult situations. 

I went out on this adventure alone.. But was never actually alone. Every step taken led me to another encounter with a new being with their own story. The length of time spent with each energy I came across did not dictate the amount of love that was shared between all of us. I still keep in touch with some, and others are kept as amazing memories. The impression we all left on each other is what I appreciate the most.

I’ve gotten back into a routine of life. Work, gym, friends, etc. But the drive to get back out  and explore the world as i in turn explore deeper into myself, has not faded the least bit.
