Do you ever read those community-garbled "how to talk leftism outside & online" guides where it broaches the subject of what to say when asked "how" about anything, and the guide's advice amounts to "haha! this is a CLASSIC reactionary trick to demoralize and discredit you!"

I think better advice would be to say "honestly, I don't know. I just know how we do it now is abnormal and wrong." And it's not a sexy answer but far more respectable. This will make people respect you more in the long run.
