"Family land," The young man gestured vaguely to the surrounding forest, the Mikaelson's had invested in quite a few properties and pure acreage when they'd live here last. Just because they'd fled didn't mean they stopped owning all that land. Kol was out for almost the same reason - stars were out and the moon was strong tonight, he was on an errand to charge a few objects in a sacred location.

"Do you want a serious answer big brother?" Kol reached in to the hidden compartment and reverently retrieved the ancient grimoire. A far cry from the disrespect of Elijah's poor desk. The younger Mikaelson could feel the old magic pulsing under his fingertips, so hot it was almost cold.

"N o!" The most NERVOUS laugh she could muster, she's pretty damn used to getting yelled at by now. "New b o d y, see, I just didn't know how to ask if you've..." A shady glance each side of them. "Possessed some poor bastard. I've got my answer!" Can nobody stay in their designated parking bodies these days? If she had a nickel... weird that it happened twice, you get the idea.

"Well who's to say it's not? I think a deserve a little vengeance here and there, don't you think?" Kol didn't remember her being this... Flighty? Or maybe nervous was the correct word. He didn't remember ever giving her a reason to be nervous around him, but he'd admit that some parts of his time as a vampire were a bit fuzzy.
