A German regional court has ruled that Google is directly liable for the content of its AI search overviews. According to the court, previou
Let’s fucking go
This is HUGE.
1. The court holds Google responsible for statements made by its AI, considering them Google's statements (search engines have limited liability for results in their engine as they're the words of other sites/companies/people), meaning when their AI lies/hallucinates they're liable for the defamation/harm resulting from those statements.
2. Google's defense that customers are generally aware of the lack of reliability and are responsible for fact checking was dismissed. As the court pointed out, that would "significantly diminish" AI Search's stated purpose and it can't be distinguished from Google's business practices/statements as a search tool.
3. Studies have found about 91% of Google's everyday AI responses are accurate, leaving millions of searches per HOUR with potential liability for falsehoods. 56% of correct responses weren't supported by the sources the AI listed. Both of which mean Google is now liable for a LOT more AI "errors."
4. Google was held liable for 80% of court costs in this case and this precedent is expected to reverberate around the world. This is a massive shift from the 3rd-party search provider role Google has previously played and it comes right as they've tied ALL searches to their AI search.
TL;DR Google reeeeeally stepped in it this time.
Ive watched a few animes about gay men. Not a LOT so I dont consider myself an expert but yknow a handful. And so far I think go for it nakamura has been the best one I've seen so far because the main character is such a fleshed out individual. Hes really gay and hes fucking OBSESSED with this one boy but despite that single mindedness he still manages to show so much personality that is unique to him so it feels so much more than just generic BL story protagonist. The reason I tune in every week is because I like this guy so much. His love story is like 45% of the appeal to me. Thats not to say his love story is boring or uninteresting (its great) its just a way of emphasizing how much I enjoy just watching him navigate his day to day life.
this feels like dragging around a mummified corpse thats dressed as a clown
My dad works at Home Depot and this one customer came in trying to return a lawnmower that wouldn’t start. Another employee asked the customer if he had put any gas in it and the customer was outraged, yelling that they should have told him it needed gas (it was in the manual) and the employee told him “Well it doesn’t run on hopes and dreams, sir.” That pissed the guy off more so he called the manager all “Can you believe this guy!? He told me it doesn’t run on hopes and dreams!” and the manager just said “Well, it doesn’t.”
a person from 150 years ago would be terrified by modern stuff . however , a duck from 150 years ago would just be all like ,still got lakes? yes ? okay cool
“How fleeting are all human passions compared with the massive continuity of ducks.”

Reblogging again because I thought they changed the quote so I decided to look up the actual quote and it’s not fake that is very much the actual quote

hi not to be that guy but i see no one—and i mean NO ONE talking about how Hirose's home life most likely is/was really bad. there's a ton of little hints about it but once i thought about it... i couldn't unsee the signs—
-when he wasn't scared of the cockroach 'oh we used to have these at home all the time!'
-what's his name middle school friend with the picture of Hirose 'oh i've never actually been to his house even knowing him all this time!'.
-the gym clothes he 'borrowed' in middle school were actually just most likely given to him by todoroki because he might not have been able to afford new ones
-never ONCE mentions his parents, his older sister is most likely taking care of him
-constant people pleasing (fake dating his friend)
-being late, being forgetful, might be having to take a lot of responsibility outside of school
and it makes me so sad cuz he's also sooo nice to Nakamura and most likely he's extra silly around him bc that's the only person that hasn't done anything to make him feel judged, or like he has to put up a front
EDIT: OH AND I JUST REMEMBERED WHEN HE TALKS BACK TO THE TEACHERS???? He’s got attitude, then him also idolizing otogiri sensei??? Maybe the only positive male role model in his life
Oh this headcanon fucking rules!! Also explains why Otagiri seems to focus on Hirose a lot, considering he said he began teaching so he could be there for kids who don’t have someone looking out for them. He probably clocked it early, especially if he noticed it’s Hirose’s older sister who is his emergency contact.
