There is an age old question, why do birds and cats dislike each other? The answer is simple. We do not hate the cats, nor do they hate us, we wish we could be closer with them. Yet we are driven apart by our natures. We long for friendship, even a fond acquaintanceship would be enough, yet it can never be. For as much as we may wish that things could be different, they cannot. Why? Because many many years ago, both birds and cats sought to learn to fly, and cats failed. Ever since then they have despised us, they try to devour us to learn our secrets and take to the skies. Greed and jealousy separate us, our once pure friendship has been destroyed. Yet we will never stop hoping that many someday, the cats will realize we never meant to leave them behind when we went to soar in the wind and clouds, we wanted them to join us.
