Ha I disliked their old Avatar for a long time, so I decided that it is high time to change that!

A couple nuzlockes done, A LOT more to go, and so much to draw and write. Ha time to use up all my free time when I find some.

But goodness do I love having to connected universes for my Pokemon Mystery Dungeon and Main Game Nuzlockes.

And when I say 2 I mean one world with pmd and nuzlocke and THEN another world with pmd and nuzlocke main games haha

The fun part is how different you can write these.

Like Ruka(Eevee Human from Explorers or technically additional human with special Normal/Ghost Typing), just doesn't lose her memory and doesn't turn up at the beach, and rather than letting Grovyle be a Grovyle, they make him evolve to Sceptile.

The funnier part is that Fuchsia (The partner in explorers) actively hunts down Ruka and fails capturing her many times.

I genuinely think derailing like that while Team Relic is much like canon with a few things changing(which I still am deciding on) is such a contrast.

Basically one world goes off the railings and holds on very loosely to main events (aka meteor, time gears etc.) while the other clings much closer to canon.

This makes for a great contrast...

And than you have my lovely Winter as they lose over 10+ Pokémon alongside with Tabby also losing 10+ Pokemon in their Nuzlockes wooops and that is the world closest to canon.

Ah writing can be so much fun!

Ohhh I haven't even mentioned the fun of writing different backstories for Grovyle, one for Ruka and Jason(the og human) for Team Fate and then for Team Relic with Jack and Grovyle.

Being able to have the same characters with somewhat vastly different stories, like Ninetales has for example 2 separate stories explaining how they end up in the PMD world. One where its masters curse it to immortality or longlivity and the other where it strikes a deal to gain longlivity to get around its illness.

Affirmation for writers, please!!

You know that thing where a story is written in tight third person limited — we’re meant to be inside someone’s head, seeing the world through their thoughts — and then suddenly the narration says “the blond frowned” or “the shorter woman sighed” about a person the POV character knows really well?

That’s called antonomasia — using a descriptive label instead of a name. And it’s fine when we’re talking about strangers: “the cashier handed her the receipt,” “the tall guy blocked the door.” The POV character doesn’t know their names, and we just need a quick way to tell people apart.

But the moment it’s used for someone the POV character already knows, it breaks immersion. Because that’s not how our minds work. We don’t think “the older man smiled at me.” We think “Mark smiled.” Or maybe “my boss” if that relationship matters in the moment.

Third person limited means the narration sits inside someone’s perception. Their inner monologue is the story’s voice. So when you switch from “Mark smiled” to “the blond smiled,” you’ve pulled the camera away from their mind and turned it into an outside shot.

If you want to create distance or irritation, you can do it on purpose —

“The idiot from accounting emailed again.”

That’s character voice. That’s judgment. That works.

But otherwise?

As soon as your POV character knows someone’s name, use it. While we do tend to worry about repetitions, names rarely register as such to the readers.

If you need variety for rhythm, use relational or emotional identifiers that make sense in their head: her friend, his partner, their teacher, the person they loved.

Because inside someone’s thoughts, there are no “blonds” or “brunettes.”

So like, I'm writing a PMD story, it all already having all the timelines, and just adding here and there, being already based on the 4 games and generally being 30+ stories and then being like...

So what world is the humans like? And then reconnecting the old nuzlockes and now there is a shitton more lore and human world is nuzlocke-

And now I have play some shiny nuzlocke and regular nuzlocke to have the humans side working for the PMD World :'D Ending up in another 30+ stories lmao

But it is a lot of fun!

The Worldbuilding is so much fun, making a coherrent timeline is a challenge, even better now that I added Nuzlocke world, I get to re-edit the PMD Timelines haha because the concept has gotten some significant change.

I'm planning to draw some images and make like short animatics that tell the stories, because I'll likely never finish writing it fully haha

-> PMD all 4 Games (Rescue, Explorers, Gates to Infinity and Super)

-> All 3 Ranger games included for Human World ;3 Because I adore this and it is a lot of fun to like have Nuzlocke veterans change profesion only to end up having to save a region again haha

->Mainline Games (LG/FR, AS/OR, SS/HG, BD/SP, Black/White, Black2/White2, X/Y, Shield/Sword, UltraSun/UltraMoon, Scarlet/Violet, Legends Arceus and somehow will add Legends Z-A after seeing what its deal is. ) Definitely recording all those Nuzlockes, but not necessarily have those up for public eye, just so I can re-check what happend where haha.

Ahhh Fanfic writing is so much fun! The drama, the lore, and characters. Thankfully Pokémon has a lot of material to work with haha. I'll definitely am going to get a lot out of it, when I start working on my original stories and build those worlds up. (you can check my da for concept sketches and hints to lore)

At least the concepts of the now fresh Nuzlocke Human world is tying itself together nicely to the PMD versions even if there is something I need to rework since before the Human World concept it didn't need that much attention haha.

Anyone else just love pokemon mystery dungeon, ranger and nuzlocke main games? Having a massive story world like mine ties everything together, even if I ignore Pokken, and the games in Orre because I can't be bothered haha

Pokémon electric type Word Search puzzle!

Occassionally I make word search puzzles like these for my nieces to play with. Now I thought having one for my fellow Pokémon enjoyers is also nice.

Our programmer Shawna implemented a very fancy new way of letting people add their own information into the story and now it'll be possible to input more complicated details we couldn't add using the normal choices/flag system ✨

The prologue will be updated to allow you to determine exactly where you moved from, your race, and your nationality heritage! You can't talk about it with the other characters then, however Moments will be written with this feature in mind. So scenes are going to come up eventually where you can share with Tamarack and Qiu your own culture or let them know your family comes from the same place as one of them.

And this feature will be used for various other things, too.

I, FeatherLinnea, am working on a short Pokémon Comic named “Sunshine”!

Figured I might as well announce it now to pressure myself a bit more to work harder.

Sunshine is a short Pokémon Comic based on a drawing I made in 2020:

It is basically a short romance story. A slightly darker one, but has a happy ending.

“Umbreon has lost her previous mate, protecting her mates final resting place, she meets an Eevee that sticks around her like glue.” And not saying more since the story premise is so short it would spoil everything lol. Good old shipping with an Umbreon and Espeon haha I still have a few months worth of work for this comic to do.

I decided to give this comic its own little “art-style” so it differs from my usual art-style(s). Which is also partly why it takes a bit longer. I already finished the script/story for the comic, as really it is super short haha I’ll still go over the script and maybe expand to 1-2 more scenes. I still have about roughly 10 reference-sheets to make for the different characters and their unique looks for the comics art-style. I already made some concept art ages ago and finished one of the reference-sheets necessary to keep the art-style consistent later.

The story has a prologue, 3 chapters and an epilogue. Again very short and not particurlarly detailed, but sufficent for what it is intended. That said. I will only start uploading pages, after I finished drawing the prologue in its entirety. And you know all the previous work that needs to be done before that. This will still be a while, can be 1-2months or more it depends, not making any time-based promises.
