My first fursona finally getting a redesign after having them for 13years when I was about 12y old haha They may even be older actually, but roughly made them when I was 12ish.

Back then it was meant to be a fakemon, but had evolved into regular oc over time that has nothing to do with Pokémon now haha.

Back then being "trans" wasn't something I understood or even knew about what that is, years pass and eh viola my egg cracks and discover in my early 20s I'm nonbinary haha.

It had bothered me a long time to leave my fursona "Luna" as Luna and as a girl, so I decided to rename her into Phoenix Winter (a name I alternatively picked if I hadn't been able to pick my current irl name) and no longer a girl, but nonbinary like I am.

I changed the pattern at the top of the head, by removing it, and just have the eyebrow dot square things, and removing the collar and changing it to a scarf. ALSO changed the colors to be more pale, but keeping the yellow from the old only on the head hair tuft and inner ear and paws for the black I used before. Also marking on the outside of the wing I just removed, since then the wings can just blend into the back fur.

That way some new and old are kept.

After all my initial fursona is allowed to grow up with me too.

And being more fox like, instead of whatever decided before, helps a lot too.

So I can Feather for regular life stuff and Phoenix for fantasy things although both have that haha but in different ways.

I always disliked how undefined Alex was in his initial ref, so now he gets to be based on a chihuaha! This one didn't have any real purpose either, but I think it would work in the same story as Jason is in!

Ha one of my favourite Ocs from back then has always been Opal even if I never drew them much. Also an oc that is nearly 11y old!

Now, nonbinary (since when I created them I didn't even know that existed) and with some lore thought up. Slight design change to balance their design out as well.

Opal is one of the few people that was implanted an artificial mana core, allowing them to shapeshift, however the core reflects back its mechanical parts its, "artificialness" clearly.

Being the volunteer 627, they kept it as their name, considering that usually made people think they may be a robot or an experiment, despite just being a normal person, given an artificial mana core.

They use this to mess with people a bit.

edit. although not on the drawing, the triangles are supposed to be smaller after each, like the dots shown, but I forgot lmao.

Ha back on my old account I made this oc 11y ago. Man it's been a while. It's time to draw them all again and decide what to actually do with all of my old ocs haha.

It is also time to give new names to my old ocs, since most of them were named during a "phase" as a teen haha But Cherry Moondusk is one of the few or many that gets to keep her name!

Prompt guide

Each main prompt contains a type of relationship and an adjective. You can fill a day's prompt in one of 3 ways (using the first prompt as an example): 1. use only the type of relationship → make a piece about ex-friends, 2. use only the adjective → make a piece about ocs with a powerful dynamic OR 3. use both → make a piece about ex-friends who have a powerful dynamic. 

This year, the bonus prompts are dialogue prompts. You can combine or swap them with main prompts or just do them in addition to the main prompts! You can use the exact wording, tweak it to fit your piece, or simply use the dialogue to inspire your work without using it directly.

Goldfish Keychain Plush!

Just something small, since I‘m making 4 of 'em, 1 for myself. The rest 3 are going into a chest for my old colleagues to find as a small treasure hunt. Because then they get find some “gold“ hehe

I'll add smth here cos I learned after posting this on IG that people still aren't entirely understanding how scary and dangerous this is. Ppl kept saying to me 'I can still buy your book in shops though' or 'Its okay, I'll order your book into my library!'

I dont give af about my book lol No one outside of Ace ppl ever read it, its yearly sales don't even cover a month of expenses for me.

The thing you should all be concerned about is that a totally benign unheard of book about someone's every day life is being banned. And those laws listed above are passing through US government right now. One of those laws would make it so that any teacher/librarian in the US could lose their job/go to prison for simply sharing 'ideology'- and I don't mean only lgbtq folk, these laws are attacking black history, civil rights history, disability rep in books. Just talking about these things will now legally be considered a 'dangerous ideology'.

And once that's set into law, the US government has backing via law to go ahead and say 'if these books aren't legally allowed in schools, then they shouldn't be allowed in shops, either.' And from there it sets up a great argument for 'The dangerous content in these books is lawfully being removed from public, shouldn't we be lawfully removing the people living out/promoting this ideology too?'

I can see why ppl don't fully understand how dangerous book bannings are, if they're not familiar with the history of fascism. If you're interested, there are plenty of graphic novels that share this history via first hand accounts- Maus, Persepolis, Banned Book Club.

But guess what? You're on limited time to get these via libraries...cos all three of these books are on banned lists too, and they got nothing to do with lgbtq rep, and everything to do with warning ppl about fascism.

And the US government knows it can get away with this, because they are passing these laws as we speak and barely anyone is doing anything about it or talking about it. I've been trying to talk about it for years and no one does anything except say to me 'don't worry, I'll buy your book!' or say its a badge of honour that I have a banned book.

One of my favourite Pokémon in my Brilliant Diamond Nuzlocke is my Bibarel, Bib! She got to use sword dance a lot haha.

And I did just finish my Brilliant Diamond Nuzlocke completely, that marks 4 Main Game Nuzlockes down, several more to go!
