𝗍𝗁𝗂𝗌 𝗂𝗌 𝗍𝗋𝖺𝖽𝗂𝗍𝗂𝗈𝗇 .

                 she   guesses   she   could   see   the   reason   behind   the   fright   ;   this   vigilante   character   ,   whoever   he   may   be   ,   did   seem   to   be   targeting   the   elite   in   beverly   park   ,   though   charunee   wasn't   going   to   let   that   prevent   her   from   living   her   life   to   the   very   best   .   especially   ,   not   when   there   was   so   much   yet   to   be   finished   .    “   i   can   see   where   you're   coming   from   ,   ”    she   responds   to   the   other's   evident   alarm   ,   dark   orbs   scanning   the   lace   dress   hanging   in   between   digits   .    “   i   think   it's   a   bit   odd   —   valid   ,   but   odd   ,   because   i   don't   think   our   lives   should   be   put   on   pause   'cause   of   it   .   i   mean   ,   yeah   ,   may   that   lucas   guy   rest   in   peace   —   what   an   awful   way   to   die   —   but   life   goes   on   ,   you   know   ?    ”    in   other   words   ,   move   on   and   who   cares   ?

— it  was  terrifying.  while  some  might've  not  assumed  so,  she  wasn't  afraid  to  express  the  fear  that  was  being  felt  but  it  was  starting  to  make  sense  that,  maybe,  viv  shouldn't  be  so  open  about  it.  a  sigh  was  given  as  she  considered  it,  trying  to  push  the  thoughts  aside.  “  you're  right,  ”  she  said,  putting  what  the  other  said  into  her  own  perspective.  “  i'm  here  trying  to  shop,  that's  a  step,  right  ?  i  do  have  an  increase  of  security  at  home,  too,  ”  her  voice  was  soft,  eyes  scanned  over  the  clothes  that  were  on  display.  nothing  quite  grabbed  her  attention,  yet.  “  i  don't  really  like  this  shop.  want  to  go  onto  the  next  one  ?  ”

ꨄ 𝅄 ❛ keeping   a   brave   face   was   something   she   wasn't   a   stranger   to   ,   she'd   been   doing   it   for   years   .   gwen   didn't   want   to   be   perceived   as   weak   or   afraid   ,   because   it   would   undoubtedly   fuel   the   ego   of   whoever   was   responsible   for   the   heinous   crimes   taking   place   .   the   brunette   knew   better   than   to   lay   out   all   of   her   cards   on   the   table   .   if   she   acted   like   all   was   well   ,   maybe   she'd   eventually   believe   it   .   “   i   get   that   ,   ”   she   assured   viv   .   wanting   her   friend   to   know   she   empathized   with   her   fears   .   “   i   just   assume   i'm   always   being   watched   ,   and   if   you   don't   want   whoever's   doing   this   to   know   that   you're   afraid   .   .   .   then   you've   gotta   keep   living   your   life   like   you   did   before   .   being   afraid   and   unprepared   is   what's   going   to   get   you   killed   . amp up your security and take some self defense courses .   ”

—   unfortunately,  viv  was  no  stranger  to  death.  it  was  relatively  recent  that  her  parents  died  and  she  was  still  enduring  the  grief  from  that.  she  wasn't  personally  close  to  those  that  the  killer  had  slain,  but  they  lived  close  —  there  were  connections  and  she,  in  fact,  might've  been  at  the  end  of  one  of  the  strings.  while  she  had  a  hard  exterior  more  often  than  not,  it  was  hard  to  pretend  when  her  anxiety  peeked  every  time  she  went  outside  of  her  home.  hell.  she  didn't  feel  completely  safe  inside.  “  my  home's  security  is  being  worked  on  as  we  speak  —  that's  why  i  needed  to  step  out  for  a  little  while,  ”  she  nodded  as  she  spoke,  ensuring  it  to  gwen  and  to  herself.  “  self-defense  classes  are  a  good  idea.  i'll  look  into  it.  ”  even  if  there  wasn't  a  maniac  running  around,  the  courses  seemed  imperative,  regardless.  “  oh  !  this  is  a  cute  top.  what  do  you  think  ?  ”  she  pulled  it  from  the  rack,  pressing  it  against  herself  and  did  a  little  pose  in  hopes  that  the  color  complimented  her  skin. 

         valeria had become a foundationally dramatic person - whether it was a facade she'd built up or not , the fact of the matter remains : she was annoying . she did her best to keep her mind occupied with anything other than the killer ( who she definitely believed would come for her next , by the way ) but the topic seems to keep finding her . ' uh , yeah , i'm scared too ! last night , i had a dream the killer was chasing me . granted , he turned out to actually look like henry cavill and my nightmare turned a little erotic , but still ! he's seeping into my subconscious . '

—   “  henry  cavill  ?  ”  she  let  out,  a  mix  of  a  scoff  and  a  laugh  followed  shortly  after  questioning.  “  i  have  to  say,  if  he  was  chasing  over  me,  too  …  it'd  get  a  little  spicy,  as  well  !  ”  there  was  a  tease,  but  it  was  only  a  brief  moment  of  reprieve.  her  anxiety  was  quick  to  return  even  as  eyes  scanned  the  clothing  before  them.  “  that's  cute,  huh  ?  ”  she  pointed  to  a  blouse,  not  quite  convinced  to  pull  it  from  its  place.  “  i  haven't  had  dreams.  not  yet,  ”  her  voice  inched  down  into  a  whisper.  “  now  i'm  worried  that  i  will  !  was  that  your  only  dream  of  the..  killer  ?  ”

ꨄ 𝅄 ❛ she'd   been   rather   avoidant   lately   when   it   came   to   the   murders   .   she   declined   to   comment   on   them   when   asked   ,   and   did   what   she   could   to   just   live   her   life   as   normally   as   possible   .   nobody   was   going   to   destroy   her   fun   ,   at   least   ,   not   to   their   knowledge   .   she   could   panic   in   privacy   ,   but   she   wouldn't   allow   herself   to   do   so   publicly   .   gwen   listened   to   genevieve's   concerns   ,   nodding   slightly   as   the   woman   spoke   .   “   why   not   ?   ”   she   asked   ,   arching   a   brow   .   “   do   you   really   want   to   let   that   creep   know   they're   getting   to   you   ?   ”   gwen   argued   .   “   you   have   to   pretend   like   you're   okay   ,   even   if   you're   not.   ”

—  viv  didn't  speak  publicly  about  the  murders,  no.  that  might  smear  her  name  around  even  more  badly  with  the  divorce  still  lurking  on  magazines.  but,  she  hoped  that  she  could,  at  least,  talk  about  it  with  other's,  her  friends  or  people  who  were  dealing  with  it,  as  well.  a  sigh  is  given  as  she  listened  to  gwen.  the  other  had  a  point,  but  it  felt  difficult.  she  was  spooked.  it  felt  hard  to  hide  it,  really.  “  you're  right,  but  i'm  struggling.  i'm  always  looking  behind  my  shoulder.  ”  she  wanted  to  speak  honestly  while  still  trying  not  to  talk  too  loudly.  “  how're  you  doing  it  ?  ”
