Description
Evil Morty wasn’t always the evil one. He used to be just like any other Morty, until he finally got tired of Rick and the way he was treated. His original dimension was Destiny Isle, though he’s spent years cycling through countless Ricks, Summers, Beths, and Jerrys — attachments he no longer cares for. It’s Rick’s fucked up worlds, and Morty was simply a pawn in it… until he finally snapped. He turned on the system, tore down the citadel, and broke the central finite curve that kept all the Mortys fenced in with a Rick as the smartest man alive.
He thought that would be enough. It wasn’t.
While Evil Morty was attempting to get off the radar, he heard that another Morty had gone AWOL and stole a portal gun. The cherry on top? He was in Evil Morty’s original dimension — Destiny Isle. Even though he didn’t have any attachment to the dimension, something was amiss. What was this Morty up to? What game was he playing?
Impulsively, he decided to return to Destiny Isle after years of moving around. He’ll give Morty the false reassurance that he’s just there to help him out and look out for him, but really, he’s planning his next move. Watching. waiting. Maybe he could find out Morty’s ulterior motive, or he could find a weakness.
If he has to ruin Morty’s life to prove a point? So be it.
Headcanons
Neither Morty nor Evil Morty remembers meeting each other in the past. They’ve met and come across so many Mortys that they can’t keep track
He’s honestly not that threatened about the portal gun. He makes his own portal fluid, which is much more efficient than Rick’s, so he already feels superior in that sense
He is deeply manipulative, dangerously composed, and always five steps ahead. But somewhere, buried deep under the armor, is a part of him that remembers what it felt like to be scared, small, and alone — and it disgusts him
Though he has no attachment to this dimension, he has no idea that someone from his past is going to reappear while he’s here, potentially changing his viewpoint on Destiny Isle
He sees Morty building a life here, peaceful and Rick-free, and it unnerves him — the idea of Morty succeeding where he once struggled, even unknowingly, is a threat to his sense of control
