♛   ATTENTION THOSE IN SUNSPEAR !

       a plot point, occurring within the midsummer ball —

             as those at the ball begin to CAST THEIR VOTES FOR THE SUN GOD & SUN GODDESS COMPETITION at the midsummer ball, things are beginning to… — - happen whilst everyone is enjoying and revelling in the merriment.

         watching bannen mormont and his men make their way out of the celebrations, FALHAR FANGHORN’S ( @fcnghcrn ) confusion lasts only for a mere moment before his attention is caught by lannister guards approaching him. informing falhar of a break in accompanied by another incident that had occurred in his chambers within the last half hour. falhar swiftly excuses himself from the celebrations, catching king arryk’s eye for a moment before following the guards back to his chambers - letting out a low breath and expecting the worst.

       shortly before this, FLORIAN ( @pillowprince-florian ) had received a discrete note from a golden servant girl consisting of three words. my chambers - c. slipping his way out of the celebrations and through sunspear’s winding corridors, florian discreetly made his way toward his lover WILLEM’S ( @willem-clegane ) rooms as they had planned some hours before. florian moves quietly, knowing most of king arryk’s council are lodged in individually locked rooms beside eachother. he notices one guard sat slumped in a chair positioned outside another’s chambers, and cannot help but let out a little scoff; a man sleeping on the job. typical.

       suddenly, the silence around florian was pierced with loud footsteps of guards running, shouts of ‘there he is!’ and the sullen glare of falhar fanghorn. feeling the world go black around him, the last thing florian remembers was being pinned to the ground by lannister guards.

                    ( WITHIN “A MARAUDER IN THE NIGHT” )

     when the chaos of the ball had finally ended there was a slow, terribly sad procession of the SILENT SISTERS and their helpers descended on the various spots of tragedy to remove and prepares the bodies of the dead for burial and transport.    one of the bodies moved was the murdered guard whose duties had been to protect lord fanghorn. while being transported to the small, cool, dark rooms off the sept that the silent sisters, the strangers haindmaidens, utilised to prepare the deceased  —   a crumpled up note falls out of his sleeve and flutters almost unnoticed to the ground.  one of the expressionless, shrouded, reverent sisters following the procession picks it up; reads it without breaking her vow of silence and pockets it… continues the duties of the procession.   however, before entering the private chambers only accessible to the sisters, she wordlessly gives it to a guard, before inclining her veiled head slightly in a silent goodbye, and entering as the body is laid down to be prepared for the transportation to the crownlands and the funeral.

    the guard quickly reads the note and immediately hastens to find LORD FALHAR FANGHORN who is busy dealing with the tragedy befallen on his targaryen cousins, ladies caerella and daenys of dragonstone… and the murder of their own innocent people. the master of war first turns away the guard — but at goldcloak’s insistence, he  takes the note and reads it with a deepening frown, and a fury, over the words written down:

     and much to the lord of sharp points surprise, the note is near on a DIRECT match to the note left on lady daenys targaryen’s bed, the one he has only moments ago taken a closer look at —  but something about the note found on the dead guard is different.   obviously positioned as to be found intact, a clever falhar finds lays both notes side by side and scrutinizes them. it only takes a few moments of comparison for the change to be realized —  he notices two sections of words with that had been drawn over and over, making them stand out, emphasised by the thickness of the lettering and the deeper indent it left in the paper:

         ❝ 𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐅𝐀𝐋𝐒𝐄 𝐆𝐎𝐃𝐒 ❞       — &                           ❝ 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐄𝐗𝐔𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐘 𝐈𝐌𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐀𝐋 ❞

   soon pieces of the puzzle fall into place; the two scenes, the multiple bodies and the almost identical notes… there had been no time for the prostitute to commit the murder of his guard and then, ALONE ?, murder and string up multiple of his cousin’s servants without anyone noticing.    FLORIAN was by no means a young, small nor scrawny man, but the sheer undertaking of both those crimes could not be executed so well by a lone person and leave them still unbloodied, unbruised, unmarked.     and, though lord falhar couldn’t be certain until further questioning of his cousins, florian could not have gained access to the sisters of dragonstone’s manor without raising a definite alarm as a strange face.   with a great sigh, he calls a guard to release the prisoner once house martell had lifted their command of keeping everyone in a lockdown and, before the guard leaves to do so — the master of war also orders the goldcloak to inform florian of the attack that had taken place.

“While I have done many terrible things like having a lady banished from court because of jealousy of the attention she was getting - the thing I feel worst about is not writing a letter to Falhar immediately to tell him of my betrothal to Arryk after my father told me. There is no excuse really, I could have sent him a letter, I even wrote it, but I could not find it within my heart to send it, so instead, he had to learn from his father when it was already far too late to do anything, too late to fight for the promise we made each other. The worst part is that I waited on purpose, why would I do that? I still do not know.”

well, i never want to see you unhappy… i thought you’d want the same for me? i’m trying not to think about you; can’t you just let me be?  should’ve known you would bring me heartbreak … almost lovers, always do. 

“Falhar Fanghorn? I… I hadn’t thought of it. Well, from a purely objective view, his background and house make him more than suitable to marry a member of a prominent family. And he’s kind, that is a rare jewely to find in a man of his position- even more so it seems he continues redefining the word. I suppose he’s also rather handsome, and intelligent, and charming, and…”
