Fable belonged to one of the higher class families in Brooklyn, New York. Her father happened to own one of the major real estates firms around the local area they resided in. Evermore was a name people would not forget due to her fathers persistent nature to make sure he would nor his family would go unknown. 

Meeting Milo when she was fourteen, Fable felt like all her dreams had came true. She never had expected that her first time with him when she was sixteen would be the only time she had sex, nor that she would be in a bathroom taking a pregnancy test in high school nearly a month later. She tested positive and her world flipped upside down. Going to the only people that she thought could help her with the situation proved to be more damaging than good. Her father, ended up wanting to keep his families perfect image in tact and decided to have the younger girl sign over all her custody rights to Milo and his family. Once Kelsey Lennon Monroe was born she was taken away from Fable and given to Milo and his family. 

She didn’t even get to hold her. Fable may have been seventeen by the time she had given birth to Kelsey, but she knew what she had wanted. She knew she wanted to keep her daughter, and due to her being still under her parents ward. Her fathers especially, she had no decision to make. Growing depressed, after it all occurred Fable’s mother and father made the decision to put their only daughter in the care of the hospitals for a month until her mind and the medication they put her on, brought them back a semi full functioning to the world girl that was pieced together from the broken pieces her dad caused her to be. 

She lived under his rule of thumb since then. Having her dad arrange a relationship with her and a guy from a family that was close with hers. She pleased him. Forced fake smiles as the petals to each rose that tried to bloom back up inside her wilted away. Fake kisses that were perceived as real to the outside people, hand holding that made her weaken in the knees. It was never the thought that the guy that she had been set up was good enough for her. She was sure under the circumstances being anything, but what they were she would have liked him, but it was impossible. She knew not only could she never truly be into the one guy, but that he most likely had felt nothing on his end. It was all words and a fake reality, a fake reality she had no longer wanted to keep up an act to. The act that she spilled all over the pages of her journal in which she used to submit to one of the local magazines and had published under a false name to feel slightly better about. How had no one figured that one out, she would never know the answer to that. 

Going to North Chancellor was the biggest escape plan she could make happen. Sure she was not miles away from her family, but she wasn’t caged, or had felt that way, and had her best friend around to be there beside her as she acted like the same old fairytale believing girl that he and everyone else either loved or hated.

crimes? fable’s explanation really only confused him more, though it did seem like she knew something he didn’t. …or maybe a few things he didn’t. “can i see the text?” it had been kept from him for a reason, and he knew that, but that didn’t at all help with his curiosity. really, it only made it worse. at any rate, knowing what was in it, might help bring him at least some level of clarity. why was aron leaving him off it? and, more importantly, why was he crying his name? 

Fable looked at Wesley as she pulled her phone out and showed him the texts. “Look from what I gather is Aron likes someone. I know when I passed by him that day this all went down he looked a bit fucked up and pissed about being ditched from this meet up because they thought he was fake. I stopped to ask if he was okay, to which he told me he was fine and just needing to figure out if he could feel something back for someone.” She spoke as she sighed and looked down. “With the way he acted about Beau, I doubt he was the one he was trying to feel something for, but then your name comes up. I think Aron is in there crying because one being high and blowing a guy that called someone else’s name is never a good sign. Two he was told he basically sucked at it. Then you have three, the last conclusion, he was thinking about you most likely, and likes you.” She commented putting her phone away. “Now if this is the case, which I could be wrong and out of line, he could be in there crying because he doesn’t think he’s good enough for you and he’s terrible with his mouth.”

“text?” clueless as to what fable was talking about, wesley’s head tilted to the side, his confusion only growing as she continued. why had he, of all people, been excluded? he’d thought things were going well between them, that they’d become closer recently, after aron had confided in him about the difficulties of his childhood. was the other man regretting that decision? it’s not like he’d told anyone about it. besides - he of all people could understand what aron had gone through. after all, something pretty damn similar had happened to him just the other week. only, with aron… it made even less sense. who in their right mind could focus on anything else, when they had aron in the room with them? it was something he’d tried real fucking hard to do in the past, and at this point, had come to just accept it as impossible. “there’s gotta be a reason he didn’t message me, right? i mean, i’m his roommate, it’s not like he just… forgot i existed.” …right? “i’m guessing he doesn’t want to talk to me right now.” his curiosity was beginning to get the better of him, and the temptation to let fable break in was growing stronger, but if aron was already pissed at him, he didn’t want to make things worse. 

Fable looked down at her hands in thought, had Aron really excluded Wesley from the texts. Raking her brain she looked at the shorter haired but taller brunette and sighed. Resting a hand on his arm in a means to comfort she bit her lip. “Look.” She spoke as she glanced up to meet his eyes. “I can’t tell you what he is thinking, but if you think of the bigger and brighter picture, you weren’t mentioned in the text, but your name is being mentioned while he cries, and now he’s holed up in there.” She remarked as she nodded towards to the door. “Giving the context of this all and what know I from the Nancy Drew books I have read at a much younger age. He’s facing his own repercussions and pleading himself guilty of his ‘crimes’.” Rubbing at her temples as she sighed she took his hand. “It seems like his actions have impacted his deep inner feelings and he’s dealing with them, and by the way it sounds he feels he fucked up. With who?” She rambled and questioned in the depths of her conclusions before looking around and finding her eyes land back on him. “I believe only you hold the key to that passage, Wesley.” 

if he’d done something to hurt aron’s feelings, he knew he should probably go in there and make things right - but barging in didn’t exactly seem like the best way to go about it. “uh… no, not right now. i guess i can go find something else to do for a little bit. give the guy some space.” with a small shrug, he attempted to push down the sudden guilt that had filled his chest, hoping that everything would become clear later on, once he’d had a chance to sit down and talk things out with aron. “do you… wanna go grab something to eat?” 

Fable racked through the list of roommates in her mind before she looked at Wesley. Aron and Wesley. “You didn’t get the infamous text around campus did you?” She asked as she put the bobby pin up and nodded. “Yes, I suppose he would needs space after calling one of my best friends out in a mass text to everyone. Well, I guess except you. Must be kinda exceptional.” She felt a small sad smile appear on her face. “I feel pretty bad. He seemed pissed and upset. B should’ve never allowed it to happened having been kinda involved with someone else. Who knew he was going to moan the wrong guys name and then tell him over a text in front of the whole student body, again excluding you, he wasn’t all that good when a public text was sent out.” Looking at the door she sighed shaking her head. “Yeah, um, why not, but are you sure he’s going to be okay?” 

BEAU: I'm scared to be honest with him...

BEAU: His not going to believe me now is he? After I let someone go down on me? His not even going to want to hear from me

the color drained from his face at the mention of his own name, before he began chuckling uncomfortably. she was fucking with him. …right? why would his name be coming from the room, when he wasn’t even in there? was this whole thing a set up? a prank? seemed a little weird, to be coming from someone he’d only seen around campus once or twice, and hadn’t had an actual conversation with yet, but… someone could have put her up to it. “are you sure you heard wesley?” was there a chance that his roommate happened to know another wesley? 

Fable looked between the brunette that was growing pale rather quickly and the door a couple of times as she began to try to rearrange the puzzle that seemed to make its way into her mind. Chewing her bottom lip she looked up Wesley as she heard him speak. “Listen for yourself if you don’t believe me.” She motioned to the door in front of them. She knew she had no reason to lie. “Now am I going to pick this lock or not?” 

wesley’s fist fell from the door at the sound of her voice, his cheeks turning a soft pink shade as it hit him just how loud he’d been. regardless, that didn’t stop his annoyance at once again being shut out of his own room. “fuck if i know.” with a roll of his eyes, he turned to face fable fully, nodding towards the door of his dorm room. “he’s either being melodramatic again, or hooking up with someone. who knows? maybe both.” 

Fable motioned Wesley out the way as she handed him her book and pressed her ear to the door. “No moaning. Who the hell is Wesley?” She asked as she turned to look at him. “It seems we have a case of heart ache. This guy is in serious need of tissues and most likely one of my favorite first edition fairy tales.” She remarked as she looked at him. “Possibly a hug as well with all that babbling nonsense you can’t understand over that damn music.” Taking a bobby pin from her hair she looked over at him. “Are you sure you want in now?”
