Colin chuckled lightly at Blake’s comment and subsequent question, shrugging his shoulders a bit. “I…I mean I’m a good swimmer but…I…it doesn’t really matter that much in this case since….well….I’m probably not really gonna…yeah… I’m just gonna sort of…float on my back and….and take it easy….you know….relax.” He replied with a grin, before he jumped into the pool, going under the water for a second before popping back up, doing exactly as he said he was going to do and laying out on his back, floating on the water like a raft. Exhaling a soft sigh of relief, Colin felt the most relaxed he had in quite awhile. “I…yeah…falling asleep might be a real risk though so…so yeah if I go awhile without saying anything just…just check up on me will ya? Cuz…cuz you know if I drowned, Luxor isn’t gonna have any kind of a running game and…and that’s not gonna be so good for you Mr. QB. The other teams defences will know you’re gonna throw all the time. Face it…you…you need me.” He teased 

Elise glanced at him for a moment before chuckling lowly. “Buddy, until that accidental weird sister text the other night, I didn’t even know your name.” She informed him honestly, she wasn’t someone who was actively involved in school spirit, especially attending school games. She was more the one who could be found beneath the bleachers taking a sip from her hip flask and smoking. Matching his smirk at his words, leaning over and nudging him gently. “I could definitely enjoy the peace, plus she needs the space.” She answered, her smirk turning into a coy smile. “Plus I firmly believe you could help me escape the harrowing torture that is Luxor.”

Blake chuckled looking at her. “I believe you.” He added, he knew that them meeting was totally coincidence, both ways. Before the tent incident he didn’t remember seeing her around. They were just probably that different. “And I’ll like the company.” He smiled reaching to touch her cheek. “Oh I can do that and more.” He smirked as his fingers moved to her lips lightly. He was the guy to play around, he hadn’t had a serious relationship in a while and he was convinced he was never meant for one. Even though people viewed him as the nice guys. And he could be, just not when it came to love. So this came easy to him but there was also something, something she had that pulled him toward her.

“clarissa,” she supplied in greeting as she sat down on one of the lounge chairs and got herself comfortable. she wished they sat up a bit more, but she would rather not get up and fuss with it right then. “new to the school?” clarissa held her book in her lap a moment, looking to him. “welcome to the school then.” offering a smile before shaking her head. “no, i am just here to read.”

Blake nodded, “Nice to meet you!” He walked to the jumping board. “Yep.” He went back to looking at her as he started stretching out his muscles. “Thanks.” He offered a light smile. “Nice.” He added, curious of why someone would visit the pool just to not go in but he didn’t push it for any more questions as to ask why. “Well you can join, if you want to.” He offered just to make sure she wasn’t staying out, because of him.

Elise: but I’m not

Blake: I know

It was time for a break. Perhaps not a well-deserved one, because she hadn’t put nearly as much effort into working on her paper for psych as she’d promised herself she would. Thing about Lia, though, was that she preferred to do everything last minute. Her brain worked rather quickly, and was able to absord information at an abnormal rate. It was the only truth that made her feel even the slightest blessed, because without said ability, she was certain the administration would have booted her out of the school after her first week. Deciding to force all thoughts of schoolwork out of her brain, Lia made her way to the school’s pool. She figured it was never too early to start whipping herself into shape for basketball season, and she’d always enjoyed swimming. Not just for exercise, but also because it relaxed her. Something about being in the water was soothing to the blonde. 

Lia was in the process of stripping down into her suit when she heard the exclamation, feeling herself jump as she swiveled around to see who had yelled. “Christ. You nearly gave me a heart attack.” She laughed at how dramatic she sounded, as she gathered herself and waited for her heart to slow to its normal pace. “I didn’t think anyone else would be here, but… you don’t mind if I join you, right? It’s the least you could do since you nearly scared me half to death,” she joked, the beginnings of a grin forming on her lips. 

Blake laughed, he didn’t intend to scared the girl but it was quiet in here, of course she could. “I’m really sorry.” He apologize sincerely, not expecting in all truth to see anyone else here at this time. He usually came here during this time of the day because he knew it was more likely to be alone. “Same.” He shrugged smile still on his lips. “Go head, make yourself at home I like the company actually.” He added being honest.

“Me!” A flipper clad harry yelled out at the other, face broken into a grin at the other’s excitement. “Here I am. Do I look like a professional or what?” He teased, waving his flippered feet around as he walked towards the other. “I feel like a fucking penguin…it kicks ass.”

Blake chuckled looking at Harry’s feet. “Well man, you kind of fucking do.” He shook his head in disbelief. “Do you even know how to swim with those?” He asked now curious of what he was exactly going to do. 

“oh i know all about politics, sir, don’t you worry about that,” thomas returned flippantly, waving a dismissive hand. eyes narrowing once more as the boy rescinded the vote. “see, that was a test of character and you failed!” he declared now, backing up several steps and huffing over it. “i knew you couldn’t be trusted the second you started adding stipulations and conditions to your commitment. you’ve demonstrated weak character indeed, sir, and i am highly– highly– disappointed.”

Blake kept the smile on his face, he wondered exactly what was Thoma’s deal. Now he was curious to see what exactly defined him, what exactly did his best friend saw in him. “Well I hate to disappoint you, I’m used to it by now though.” He shrugged it. “I wish good luck though, with you campaign. Like I said before, it looks like you don’t need my vote.”  

Elise: No, I'm telling you.

Elise: his dick is huge.

Elise: you don't expect from someone like Blake, but it's there.

Blake: hahahahaha

Ronan: I'm glad you're laughing!!! it's a good one.

Blake: It is. My turn!

Elise: hmm

Elise: here's an idea

Elise: leave it

Kenzie: I am always the best duh.

Kenzie: Maybe you can sleep for a bit then.

Blake: You are.

Blake: I'll try. If not you'll hear from me soon.

Raina: It's okay, you don't have to. Some things are better when they're sweet.

Raina: Great. I'll text you once I'm done!

Raina: I wouldn't be so sure about that, but thanks for having that much faith in me.

Blake: Exactly, you got it.

Blake: It's a deal.

“Normally I’m the one with the booze stash. I’m not complaining, but I’m here if you ever feel like talking.” Ches wasn’t sure what she thought about Blake starting to drink more, she already had her own issues with alcohol at this point - she was just waiting for an intervention one of these days in fact - but she was hoping this was more fun rather than the starts of a problem. “Alcohol and a massive body of water? Sounds about right.” She would rather wine by the ocean to getting smashed near the lake but beggers truly couldn’t be choosers at this point. “How could I ever forget? Pretty sure we have a legally binding contract for our friendship, til death do us part - literally.” She winks at him, moving in closer to the boy as they continue to walk through the forest. “I don’t want to worry you, Blake. There’s just some stuff on my mind lately. I’m graduating this year, what if things change?” It wasn’t like she could get into all of it, the circle was ground she could never discuss with him - she would always be hiding things from him. 

No matter what occurred now, she’d never be able to tell him about everything in her life again - for better or for worse.

“Yeah, I mean - that was the start of things I guess.” The reminder of what she had gotten to do with Thomas afterward creeps up on her, the girl’s cheeks flushing as she remembers what occurred later. She would be the one to kick the shit out of a guy and drag him in bed, wouldn’t she? “We….. did stuff afterward.” She leaves it at that, hoping that’s the only information he needed on why this was eating at her even more than just hurting someone she cared so much about. “We were doing a scavenger hunt, and he stuck his arm in a hole to grab something when he thought it’d be a good idea to scream bloody murder as if something was removing his arm. We don’t have service out here, we can’t handle a limb removal out here. I would have had to sit with him helplessly…. again.”

She shivers at the thought, the reminder of how useless she had been as she sat with her mother. Perhaps it had been nothing but a harmless prank to Thomas, something someone would just laugh off but it had dug its way a bit closer to home than most people would realize on average. Her mother’s death wasn’t exactly an icebreaker, after all.

“Thanks but I’m alright, at least for now.” He said with a forceful smile on his face. “Literally.” He repeated nodding to her words, their friendship was definitely stronger as time went by. There was nothing that could brake the bond they had form through their lives. He places his arm over her shoulders keeping her close as they continue the walk. Of course this might confused some people, but he didn’t really gave a fuck. She was special enough to keep this close, if needed at all times. “You always worry me Ches, that’s natural but it’s better if you tell me what’s bothering you so at least I can be aware.” He explained as he listened to her words carefully. “Things will change, that’s something you don’t have control over it. Life changes every second, it doesn’t mean it’s exactly a bad thing.” He smiled, being careful onto what he was stepping on. 

“I’m not even going to ask what stuff you’re referring to.” His face a mix of a laugh and disgust. She was after all like his sister and no way, he wanted to imagined her doing ‘stuff’. He nodded as she kept explaining, noticing the real meaning behind his prank. The big effect it would have on her. “Well so let me try to keep up first, he prank you, you beat his ass, then you guys did whatever you did.” He was making sure, he was keeping up. “Well first of all, you were in all your rights to react that way. No matter what the prank was, it’s fine. He probably knows that he deserved that beating. So you don’t really have to regret it, in my opinion and if it’s still eating you up. Then you should talk to him.” Was he even good at advice, he wonder sometimes.
