WHATâS ON TV? Fawn Everwood addition!
chatnoir-agreste¡:Â
âHm. Yeah, youâre right. I see no collar,â said Adrien as he checked under the chin of the little cat, watching as itâs attention drifted to the food he had managed to crumble from his own sandwich. âYou do? Maybe you take this little one here. I canât take it with me, as much as Iâd want to,â or else Plagg would scare the poor cat away -or actually annoy the blonde to no end.
Fawn nodded. No one ever had to ask her twice to help an animal out. âIâd be happy to. Iâm heading over there today anyway.â She made a sound to call the cat over, though she wasnât sure if it would work. He had food. She did not. âIf it doesnât have owners to reunite it with, we will find it a loving home.â
chatnoir-agresteâ:Â
The boyâs head shifted to where the voice came from, softly smiling as he kept on petting the cat under their chin. âI guess I am,â he said as his green eyes turned back to the ginger kitten. Young, probably a year or two but still too inexperienced to be on its own. âThis little one probably stranded away from home. Itâs too friendly to be feral or wild,â said the blonde as he teared more pieces of his sandwich for the little one to eat.
âIt also looks clean and well fed, which probably means it hasnât been away too long.â Her attention focused on the cat, she attempted to search itsâ mind for any meaningful locations or faces. âMaybe he or sheâs chipped,â she continued. âI volunteer at the shelter, we get animals back to their homes all the time that managed to slip away. Itâs amazing how much help those can be.â And a little animal whispering.
His eyes caught the being looking his direction across the park once the boy had opened the hot sandwich heâd bought for lunch. Careful to not make any sudden move, Adrien gently crumbled up a piece of his meal to place it near the cat so it would come closer to him. âUn minou,â said the blonde as he watched the young cat get closer to him. âWhy are you all so alone and hungry,â he said, gently petting itâs head and back, leaving more food to eat, quickly earning their trust as the cat started rubbing itself against his legs. âArenât you a sweetie,â said Adrien with a smile as he scratched under their chin. âI wonder if you have a family around, maybe theyâre looking for you,â said the boy, unbeknown to anyone else around him.
Fawn had been watching the cat from her perch --- perch being the back of a park bench --- for a few minutes, trying to get a read on it from far enough away to not startle the feline into running away. She couldnât tell if it was a lost pet, abandoned or a feral, which meant she couldnât tell how to best approach it. It seemed like someone else figured that out before her. She watched silently as it rubbed against the boyâs leg, a small smile tugging at her lips. âYou must be good people,â she spoke up, keeping her tone soft, but loud enough to hear. âAnimals are the best at reading intentions, you know.â

âIs that not a thing?â Tiffani asked curiously. She figured youâd need a background check to take care of another beingâŚbut then again you donât have those before getting pregnant so maybe not. âWell, I know theyâre both in excellent hands with you. FawnâŚtheir thing is weird flavors. Of course they have vegan options. Câmon, letâs go.âÂ
âThere are certain requirements, but just because you own a fence doesnât mean youâll make a good dog owner, you know?â âVegan isnât weird.â
fawneverwouldâ:
Fawn shrugged. Just because she hadnât heard of it, that didnât mean it wasnât true. âI knew I could count on you! I donât know, depends on the person. It would probably take a couple of hundred for me,â she joked, âbut Iâm sure everyone isnât that selfish. There has to be some Ancient Mesopotamia nut around here somewhere, but tracking them down might be harder than just writing the paper yourself.â
Tiffani sighed, letting the air trill her lips slightly. âI wish you werenât right about that. Iâll save my money for the next paper. So,â she started, packing up her things. âsave any new baby animals lately? What do you say we go grab some ice cream? That place with the weird flavors has some new ones featuring edible flowers.â
"Probably the best idea," Fawn agreed. "Actually, yes! A kitten and a bird --- I'm starting to think people around here should have to pass background checks before they're allowed to own animals. Not that I haven't thought that before. Of course, the bird was wild, just injured, but the kitten had to come from somewhere..." Chewing her lip, Fawn decided it wasn't a good time to get into all of that. She was trying to catch up with a friend. "Do they have vegan options for the flower flavors?" Fawn's eyes lit up. "I have to try that."

Olive was in no rush to get back to her dorm. It was beginning to feel more lonely somehow. Maybe it was because she was homesick. There was a ton on her mind lately. Painting helped though, but only for short periods of time. She was just a worry wart in all honesty. Maybe sheâd call Remus, that would make her feel better.
With her phone pressed against her ear and the other arm full of art supplies she started to make her way home. She wasnât really paying attention to what was in front of her. Anticipating each ring. It was no use, it went straight to voicemail. âHey uh-oop! Excuse me!- I just wanted to call and see how you were! Call me back when you get the chan-!â Before Olive could even finish her sentence she collided into a stranger. The impact had caused her to drop her art supplies. The sound of paintbrushes clattering together on the concrete rang throughout her ears. Luckily she was able to catch her phone before that too hit the ground. After a moment of regaining her balance and catching her breath she giggles softly. âDonât be sorry! I wasnât really paying attention.â
To make matters worse, heâd knocked everything she was holding to the ground. Please donât be breakable, please donât be breakable. âIâm... so sorry,â he said again, just as she was brushing off his prior apology, âyour stuff.â He gestured to the paintbrushes, his eyes on those rather than the young woman. She wasnât yelling. That was a plus. She didnât seem upset at all. He couldnât tell if that made him feel better or not. Heâd rather cause trouble for someone that wasnât a kind person. Not that he wanted to cause trouble for anyone, of course. If it was up to him, heâd only interact with the amount of people he could count on both hands. Or less.
âLet me get those,â he mumbled, both to her and to himself. With a quick --- and slightly clumsy --- bend, he swiped what he thought was everything from the ground and held it out to her, forcing himself to make eye contact. The least he could do was avoid being rude after nearly knocking her off of her feet. âIâm sorry. Again. Itâs... been a bad day. But, ah, you donât care about that.â A nervous laugh, Coltâs eyes fell back to the sidewalk. âIâll pay for whatever damages I mightâve caused. Iâm sorry.â
ellawindsor¡:Â
âI do agree there, but why not⌠just drink the espresso?â He justifies, âI mean, in France itâs okay to have a little cup if you just want espresso but it seems like everyone wants a giant coffee even if it tastes like water⌠but yeah, coconut milk⌠exactlyâŚâ
âAh, thatâs what youâre getting at. I guess it depends if you want something to sip on for an hour, or a strong shot of black coffee.â Different situations called for different things. Some people couldnât stand the taste of coffee, so theyâd rather drink frappes made with more whipped cream than anything else. âIâm not against either.â
piixidust¡:Â
âIâm sorry, Iâm just on edge from people telling me I look like a child all day. News flash, Iâm 18, Iâm technically still a child. Plus, theyâre way better for not leaving that stupid ponytail line on my stupid straight hair.â With Carolineâs full attention on Farrah, she shot a frown in the otherâs direction. âWhat are you doing, love?â
Farrah would never understand what was childish about scrunchies. Unless they were covered in cartoon characters, and even then, what was the problem? âPlease, your hair is beautiful. Iâm so jealous of blondes. And red heads. And ravens.â Basically --- anyone that didnât have her hair color.âI donât even know,â she sighed over dramatically. âIâm trying to take good pictures to post on my Instagram. Becoming an influencer is so much harder than it looks.âÂ

âDonât be, tomorrow will be better right?â he responded. Marcus was used to masking his unhappiness around people and he didnât want to burden Birdie anymore than he already was. She was nice enough to look out for him, and that was way more than he could ever ask of her. âOnly for holidays then?â he teased. âSure sounds good, but its my treat this time. Iâve been meaning to catch up with you I gottaâ lot to spill.â
âIt always is,â Birdie nodded. âAnd if not, the next day.â She knew that everyone didnât share her positive outlook, Marcus included. She studied him still, trying to figure out how badly something was bothering him. âOnly on holidays,â she repeated with a soft laugh. She knew her sister was living it up being able to legally drink in other countries, but she didnât feel like she was missing out on anything as it was. âIâm sorry Iâve been so busy lately. Today, I am all ears!â
âTruly, I donât know why scrunchies ever went out of style, but Iâm always glad to see them make a comeback,â Caroline mused as she threw her hair into a high ponytail to fight the heat (rose gold scrunchie included). âYou can argue with me all you want, but Iâm right about this.â
âIâm offended that you think Iâd argue.â Farrah pursed her lips, snapped another selfie, frowned and deleted it --- she was not understanding this whole âinfluencerâ thing, or how to be successful by taking pictures of her face. Not that she was considering giving up. Fawn Everwood did not raise a quitter. âTheyâre so much better than thin hair ties. Even bobby pins for that matter. You can color coordinate.â
âRight there..thatâs mars the planet of war.â Jacen pointed out as he stood under the hanging planets located in the planetarium. Jacen was well aware of the person next to him probably knew the little tidbits he was spewing but he could help but share his knowledge and excitement that came with space. âOh, and that one right there is venus the planet of love. Personally, Plutoâs my favorite. Small but mighty.â
Colt nearly jumped out of his skin. He hadnât expected anyone to speak to him. He thought heâd be safe from conversation at the planetarium, heâd be able to calmly observe something that he liked and make use of one of the too many buildings around this town. At least the guy was talking about space. He didnât know Venus was considered the planet of love. âYeah,â was all he could think to say for a moment. âIâve always quite liked... Pluto...â
âIâm not sure I understand the point of an AmericanoâŚâ he says softly as he looks to the menu, âWhy would you want to dilute your coffee with water instead of milkâŚâ
âWell, itâs vegan, for starters,â Farrah piped up from her own seat, hands wrapped around her mug, travel journal in front of her. âPersonally? Iâd take coconut milk is over water any day.â
âGod this city is like a depressing bible school lecture, no one ever wants to have any fun anymoreâ Marcus complained as he looked around him. Elias might have been better than Hallow Falls but at least the people there knew how to party, he was sick and tired of preppy Elias kids thinking they were better than him. He wanted corruption and rebellion.. but everyone here was too perfect to fall out of line. âWell I think this crappy day could do with an adult style drinkâ you in?â
âIâm sorry youâre having a bad day,â Birdie offered, meaning so genuinely. She couldnât relate to his feelings about the town, it had been a breath of fresh air for her. But she could understand. Her brother wasnât partial to it either, probably for different reasons than Marcus. âIâm not much of a drinker,â translation: I could never do something illegal and risk getting caught, âbut Iâll gladly join you with a cup of tea while you have your adult style drink.â

The first day was supposed to be the hardest. Maybe the second. Maybe the third. But it was supposed to get easier. Colt was on his second week today, and while he enjoyed being with his sisters again, and it was kind of nice to get out of the house, if anything, this was all getting harder. He was becoming more and more overwhelmed by the busy city life that Georgia had never offered him, and classrooms full of students rather than a pile of books and a computer screen his only company.
Every evening he was in such a rush to get home he didnât pay much attention to where he was going. Youâd think the boy would learn, but just like every evening he found himself slamming into someone on the street, too distracted by the speed of the cars passing the sidewalk to keep his eyes in front of him. He didnât still as he stammered out an apology, his gaze fixed on the pair of shoes in front of him instead. âS-sorry,â he clutched his bag tightly, hoping this one wouldnât chew him out the way the man from yesterday had. âIâm-- I'm so sorry.â
@ohjinkiesxxâ
âThey didnât turn out quite how I wanted,â Birdie admitted, pulling out the cinnamon bun earrings sheâd made for Emily, âbut --- these are for you. Just something to say thank you for being such a good... friend.â
