Here's to sum up.
That's the end of the story. There might be some more pictures if one day I will wake up and decide they are not rubbish. Fortunately it's getting warm in Poland already, so brand new material is coming soon.
Keep up!

The Giant was awaiting us.
The trip was coming to an end. From NO we went through Atlanta, but instead of Six Flags Theme Park we played some games, did some shopping and went straight for New York
Spotted in New Orleans.
The city is great but it's also dangerous. The same night we were drinking and singing with people on the streets two people went missing, just a couple of blocks away and Łukasz got robbed. I guess $20 is not much and nothing happened to him, physically but still...
However dangerous this place is, I loved it! Loved it as much as I loved Vanilla & Cookies Ben & Jerry's

New Orleans was a paradise for me. A city designed for drinking and having fun. "Proud to crawl home" or "I'm not drunk, I'm by nature a loud and clumsy person" are some of popular bumper sticker, you can buy in one of million souvenir shops. But New Orleans' biggest advantage, except of possibility to drink beer in the street legally, is its people. THey are nice and chill. California is quite relaxed but New Orleans was even better. We had loads of fun with the locals.
If you ask anyone about what's the worst part about going cross-country in the US, he would probably say "the middle part". Between Las Vegas and New Orleans there was nothing interesting. New Mexico must be the most boring state ever and Texas except of big cities is just a huge desert. A desert which might sometimes be dangerous. That's what I've found after rolling my mattress in the morning, somewhere in the middle of nowhere.
Somewhere in-between, we've been to Las Vegas, but since "what happens in vegas stays in vegas", this one's already from the Grand Canyon (;
We stopped at Zabriskie Point for a while. It was so fucking hot we could barely stay outside of the car for more than 10 minutes and we were getting low on water. Our in-car air-conditioning started to have problems with cooling the inside enough, so we figured it was high time we left the desert.
Finally, we arrived at a point where we had nothing before us but the road until the horizon, but we also saw an F-16 patrolling over us. Suddenly, the jet-plane turned around, lowered its flight and went straight at us, like he wanted to bomb us. For a couple of miles he was flying low above the road ahead of us and in our direction, so the effect was incredible. We're still not sure, whether he just wanted to show off, or to "tell" us something, but we were pretty scared. Finally we saw a road with actual cars ahead of us, but also a sign in the middle of the road we were still on. Once we passed it, and read the sign, we realized that the route we took was closed, but from our side someone forgot to put the sign out.

We kept on going, since we did not really have any other choice by the time. But we could not see any cars or men anywhere. Just a couple of left-alone RV's.
And an equally creepy car next to it.
The trip was full of absurdities. When we went to the tallest waterfall on earth (in Yosemite) - it was dry… Meaning there was no waterfall at all, just rocks. Then we drive through the Death Valley, the hottest place on earth, where water costs a couple times more than gasoline and the main road through the desert is… fucking flooded. GPS in my phone (which is the only operational phone aboard) is not working, because in Death Valley, there is no such thing as reception. After a while of thinking whether we should go back and go to Las Vegas some other way, Łukasz takes his magical map out and we make the decision to go around the flooded road, using those tiny lines on the map. The lines turned out to be dirt roads. After a while we were not sure where we are anymore, so we drove to the nearest building we could see, to ask for advice. Here’s what we saw. And not a living soul within fifty miles.
We were heading towards Death Valley and farther to Las Vegas, but since we left LA in the evening we were looking for a place to camp in the middle of nowhere and when it was already dark (and it kind of became our habit)... But our last night in California was very lucky, since the burning sun woke us up to this view.

We needed to be in LA, as it was the nearest Polish Consulate. I got my new (temporary) passport in 43 minutes (sic!) since the moment I entered the office. We did not stay long in LA, though. Seen the observatory, the Hollywood sign and had some good time at the Malibu beach, watching surfers. But most importantly - I got myself this beauty!
