just some normal guys
a few others who've never done anything insane in their lives
Book Twenty-Six: Interference Book Two: Hour of The Geek
Lawrence Miles, 1999
(Same as the last book, this one is split in two. However, the chapters pick up where the last book left off for both parts; the first chapter of the book is fourteen, and so on. If the chapter number is suddenly lower than the previous one on the list, just assume we’re on part two again.)
Injury Tally:
Chapter seventeen
Once more, the guards have returned to give the Doctor a beating, using electroshock batons and kicking at his chest, “trying to rupture his lungs”.
Chapter twenty
The Doctor describes the guards running the batons down his spine, and feeling as though he was going to die—until he’s rescued, flees into the TARDIS, takes off, and promptly passes out
hm, this was just for June
for non-beach boys fan, the top four are kind of all the same song
Book Twenty-Seven: The Blue Angel
Paul Magrs & Jeremy Hoad, 1999
Injury Tally:
Chapter four
The obverse-Doctor has a “funny turn” while at a lunch with Sally, feeling a sudden pain in his left leg and passing out briefly. When he wakes, it’s numb from the knee down
Chapter eighteen
Just after it’s accomplished its purpose, the Doctor’s new doodad explodes and scorches his hands a bit
Chapter twenty five
Caught in the wake of an assault on the glass city, the Doctor is covered from head to toe in cuts from broken glass
Chapter twenty six
The obverse-Doctor’s leg continues to worsen, painful and swollen, and he describes feeling something moving inside; a parasite, growing, nestling
Chapter thirty three
A Bright Blue Baby grabs the Doctor by the (left) leg, and he feels its left a mark
Chapter forty one
The obverse-Doctor continues to experience pains in his leg
Chapter forty three
Convinced to go starkers out in the midst of the winter night chill, the obverse-Iris declares that what’s growing in the Doctor’s leg must be let out, and cuts his calf open with an icicle to pry it out, and then offers to go back inside and sew him up

I recently watched Doctor Who: The Movie. I have decided for myself that all of it is canon, as well as a few headcanons as a result.
Eighth Doctor being half human? He just lied to the Master about that and perpetuates the lie because he can, but in particularly self-superior moments, he is DEFINITELY NOT part human.
Only 13 lives? Both the Doctor and The Master were severely misinformed and very annoyed/relieved when they learned that was simply not true (maybe the other Time Lords are laughing at these two bonkers idiots about it. Also, I'm still working my way through Old Who and I dont know if the limitation on regeneration is mentioned prior. The headcanon still stands.)
Did the master turn to slime, posses some random guy, and get eaten by the TARDIS? Yes. But he got better.
The Doctor can manifest Jelly Babies anywhere and everywhere via Transmigration.
The Doctor literally does keep a spare key on top of the the sign of the TARDIS "above the P" but sometimes he forgets
The Regeneration was weird and more body-horror esque because of the American healthcare system (I refuse to blame Grace Holloway who was called in on her day off and misinformed by the other staff)
In my heart, everything in this movie is canon no exceptions.
read the books
They're on the tbr list! I'm seeing that there are about 30 books which is... overwhelming. I also need to delve into the Big Finish stuff too. (So much Who, so little time.)
I am open to recommendations on the best ones to start with because he has bewitched me heart and soul. (I was doomed from the start with my love for Paul McGann.)
At the risk at overwhelming you further
There are 73 books, and that’s only counting the EDAs. To start with I’d recommend the second book in the series, Vampire Science, it’s one of the best DW books ever written and the first one is kind of weird in the way it barely introduce the companion. Personally my first book was Alien Bodies and that’s an experience I hold very dear. But in general I’d say the essential books would be those written by Lawrence Miles, Kate Orman, Jaqueline Rayner and Paul Magrs. There are a lot of other great books but they tend to write the most popular ones.
Good luck out there, stay safe

Don’t you love it when you put a lot of effort in a painting and no one sees it
Was supposed to be my first attempt at realism but then I realized I had just bought the 3 primary colours in gouache with no black, so I couldn't really do values. So now it's whatever this is

what do you mean matt reeves wrote the riddler for paul with his love & mercy performance in mind. what do you mean dano riddler is based on BRIAN WILSON i’m losing my mind
“Carl Wilson understands Brian making people laugh from when they were children. ‘We all slept in the same room,’ he said, ‘and after we went to bed, Brian would sit there trying to make us laugh. ‘First, my mother would come in and warn us. If our father came in, then it was curtains. So we tried not to laugh, covering our mouths, hiding under the sheets, and Brian would keep cracking us up.’” - San Francisco Chronicle (June 17, 1976)
For my Doctor Who mutuals, his father beat him with a steel pipe when he was three and went deaf in one ear. Also in this video Denis clearly says « blew his dad » at some point and Carl looks at him funny
