Not an expert nor did I get it from jakob himself but from what I remember hearing/reading somewhere (can't remember since it was a while ago) jakob just grew tired of being in the spotlight. You had that CCTV where people kept asking why jakob was being such an asshole and everything (the guys later confirmed cause it was early in the morning and jakob hates mornings so there you go). But yeah probably not leaving but just no face cam for a (long) while. (for the anon that asked)
