As you enter in the church, you see a man in white kneeling at the alter, rosary hanging like a blade between his hands. He quietly murmurs a prayer in Italian. The moment you step inside, he speaks-

His voice carries, not loud...just deliberate. Heavy. Like every word is weighed before spoken.

He turns his head, just enough for you to see his eyes.

Pure knelt before the altar, hands clasped in quiet prayer beneath the towering crucifix. Warm rays of sunlight filtered through the stained-glass windows, washing the chapel in muted colors as silence settled around him.
"I am merely just a simple priest..." he murmured, eyes still closed as he traced the sign of the cross across his chest.
"Though...yes, I do know the Brutal Sniper you speak of."
Only then did he rise to his feet, turning to face the stranger. His gaze lingered on the firearm resting in the man's hands before meeting his eyes.
"A dear friend of mine..." he answered "May I ask- why you're looking for him exactly?"
He shifts his grip on the gun, tilting his head. Despite the dazzling colors of the light, it doesn't seem to have an effect on him and his shadowed eyes remain on you, a perhaps undeserved wariness in them.
"...though, if he's a friend of yours, I doubt you will be of use."
(No, perhaps he may be,) he considers to himself. (If this is a friend, he might be adequate... bait).
He lifted a brow before giving a dismissive shrug.
"If you're looking for him, I'm afraid he's not here. Last I heard, he was spending time with his partner."
A gentle smile settled across his face, warm enough to seem sincere despite the careful watchfulness lingering in his eyes.
"Tell me," he said, folding his hands neatly before him, "is there another reason you've come? The confessional is open to everyone. Whatever weighs upon your heart, my door remains open."

I dreamed once of people from different religious backgrounds coming together to sing in peace and harmony. Their holy songs sounded like they were made for each other, two sides of the same coin.

Pure simply chuckled as he let go and went to the other room. He didn't take long before he came out with a cup of water (not holy- He checked) and a small basket of bread (also not holy-)
"Have this if you are hungry" he sat down beside the demon giving him a small pat on his back

Hi father! I'm currently working on a set of paintings themed around finding the divine in everyday life :) so far the ideas I have are
- A pigeon or morning dove on a power line
- A rat on the road, looking up into the rain, highlighted by headlights
- Someone with a commonly overlooked job
- Starling flying over a city skyline
- A Fishbowl painted to look like stained glass, with a light coming from inside the bowl

Pure simply smiled, warm yet soothing as he let out a sigh, patting the others back. He soon pulled away slightly, only enough to lead the two of them near one of the pews and sitting the demon down. brushing off any dusts on said demons shoulders
"Well if you would like the confessional booth is always open to the public at any time. but if you simply need some time to rest. I can go ahead and grab some water and food if you'd like?"
