Her smile is reciprocated in an instant, Ester seemingly overjoyed by her company. Despite how exhausting it had been for everyone, at least people had come together in some strange way. Oh, she'd prefer if there was no tragedy in this world, but if tragedy had to happen, at least the people were kind and they could make it through the worst of the weather together.
"Wild things? Oh, that's perfect!" she beamed, making a mental note to take herself out into the forest at her earliest convenience. Picking flowers on a sunny day might make for a wonderful day out, and Ester really needed something to look forward to once she could leave this hospital.
Wildflowers... oh, the symbolism was so perfect. Even in the harshest conditions, flowers blossomed outside of human's constraints, flowers that were born for the sake of living, and not purely for the purpose of being beautiful. It was almost a crime to think about plucking them, like she was some dastardly villain scheming in her evil lair (or, hospital bed) but what was Portum if not a thicket filled with wildflowers? She couldn't imagine anything more fitting to gift to Marisela as a thanks for defending this place.
"It certainly didn't scare me. I don't think about things that way," she said simply, trying to visually recall the memory of it in her mind. It was healing, wasn't it? Even just knowing that she'd destroyed the weapon had some sort of healing impact on the reaper, like the thing's mere presence was far too angelic for her to be in proximity of.
"I suppose that's what matters. Between me and you, I've never even thought about it. Death is just something I've seen every day, as long as I can remember. You must be a very good nurse, by the way."
In an instant, she gasped, as if realising she'd forgotten something important.
"You're doing well, aren't you? You're okay?"
