from appaloosa plains, gemma grew up with a mom and a dad, calvin and maisy riffin. gemma was an accidental baby, a baby made between a girl new to young adulthood and a man who had lost his own parents at a tender age and who both may have missed some of the more important lessons in life. but they preferred to call gemma their surprise, their present, their gift, and she never once felt that she wasn’t loved. the struggle came though in the lack of jobs, the lack of money, and gemma has not seen her family even once since she went to school just after her teen birthday .

SEBASTIAN :  gemma didn’t know him very well before bridgeport, but would definitely call him a close friend now. bash was the first person to take things seriously when they arrived in bridgeport, and single handedly rescued the rest from the listlessness this move brought on. she considers him impressive, trustworthy, and with all the makings of a lifelong friend. OLIVER :  gemma thinks that oliver is a frankly amazing friend, plain and simple. they’re very thoughtful, and gemma always tries to be the same in turn. she learned sign language out of stack of books for him - not taught as one of the core classes at school, and whose dumb idea was that - and, since bridgeport, has made sure that the others know enough to get by. ALICE : alice can be … a lot, some days, but she has never once made gemma feel as if she does not belong somewhere - which is a lot more than can be said about some of the girls back at school. though going to bridgeport was pretty high on her worst nightmare list, the fact that she had alice at her side made it a lot more bearable.

from riverblossom hills, alice grew up with a single mom : cleo shikibu. but being the child of a single mom did not mean that she was lonely ; cleo remained close to her best friend, patricia wan, for all of alice’s life. she was, thus, childhood friends with sebastian o'mackey - a familiar face now that brings her great comfort, though she’d never say it to his face. back then, sebastian and his family were the closest thing to normal that she had. though her mother loved her, she was always busy - fighting to keep her position as a musician in a dying world. at her teen birthday, alice went off to school. the rest is history .

SEBASTIAN : alice and bash have been best friends for as long as she can remember, and she hopes that they will be forever. they grew up in each other’s pockets, were lucky enough to end up in the same school, in the same designated area, and now this? she doesn’t know what she would do without him, and she is nowhere near ready to find out. OLIVER : alice doesn’t really know how to talk to oliver - will call them a friend, but conversations seem to fall flat. is it because she doesn’t know anything more than the basics of sign language? she’s not much of a book learner, but now she’ll have to try even harder, because there are no books to learn from. hopefully she can bridge the gap? GEMMA :  alice would definitely call gemma a close friend - girls have to stick together, right? though there are a lot of differences between them, alice knows that she can count on gemma when the going gets tough. of the two of them, gemma is definitely the one with a more level head on her shoulders, but alice likes to think that she balances her out in other ways.

from aurora skies, oliver grew up with a dad, a mom, and an older brother : jessie, wanda, and evan clark. there are many ways in which he was exactly what their family needed, and many ways in which he failed. he did not have his father’s green thumb, and he was a hard pregnancy - hard enough that it killed his mother’s dreams of a big family, though they never let him know how much his addition to the family ruined things. still, he could tell in little mannerisms, and it was something of a blessing when he was shipped off to the government run school at his teen birthday .

GEMMA :  gemma was the first person to learn sign language for oliver, and they’ve been smitten ever since. while they’ve never had any intention of sharing their feelings with gemma, it is enough to have the opportunity to admire her from afar. oliver thinks that she is very capable, thoughtful, and probably so far out of his league that he can’t comprehend it.

On the third Love Day since his wife’s death, Rusty brought a rose to her grave and sat down to talk to her for a while. He still felt guilty over his autonomous flirting with Rachelle earlier in the day, but what was bothering him the most was how natural it’d felt. He’d forgotten what it was like to be really attracted to someone. He’d forgotten how nice it was to just… flirt.

regulated to a lonely corner of ｂｒｉｄｇｅｐｏｒｔ , our four founders were dropped off with only the most basic of instructions. for months they were made to entertain themselves, sort things out on their own, and try to form a life around what was taken away from them. their only solace was the fuzzy idea of a possible future : an invitation to a new game that some of the other residents were obsessed with, spoken of only in whispers and snatches of distant conversation. our founders learned of it in bits and pieces, but the puzzle only came truly together when their own invitation was received. from there their time was spent in one of two ways : within the virtual reality exploration/survival adventure known as only ｔｈｅ ｇａｍｅ  ,  or preparing for their next session. they learned all they could, prepared their bodies for hard labor, and waited ardently for their next opportunity. and it came, and it came, and it came, but on the last time, it was different. this is where our story begins.

hello!! my name is kae, and this definitely isn’t a new blog but it is me giving simblr another shot now that i’ve got a new laptop (that can actually run the sims), so i thought i’d make a little pinned post to introduce myself! on to the fun facts ; 

✧ twenty-eight, gemini, she/her. ✧ est, specifically small town north carolina. ✧ been playing the sims for about fourteen years. ✧ mostly maxis match cc wise; my cc finds tag is here. ✧ i am wcif neutral !! this just means that i’ll try my best! ✧ mix of gameplay and storytelling, but mostly gameplay.

oh !! and i’ll update this post once i have something to share, but i will be posting my current build a city challenge !! rules are located here (though i may shift them around for my own purposes from time to time), and my biggest inspirations are @melsie-sims (i’ve been rereading her bacc and having an excellent time!) and @oswanily​, who recently started their build a city challenge, which i’ve been following along with!
